Hi, I've used ShowAd on a different site {under 2.8} before and it works great.

On a new site, I'm trying to use it again. I have the droplets module installed and other droplets (eg: EditThisPage) work fine.

When I try to use either ShowAd or ShowAd2, the referenced section is displayed in-line on the calling page instead of sliding/hovering over it as it should. It is doing something, as it is displaying the section and I can see the script parameters, etc. in the page source when displayed in the browser. It is just not working the way it should.

You can see the page in question at http://concordscouthouse.org . This site is totally up to date. I uninstalled and reinstalled the droplets module and that made no difference (except wiping out my other customized droplets - luckily I had backed them up a while ago  rolleyes ).

Would appreciate any tips or suggestions to debug or fix - I've exhausted my own ideas.

So no ideas on how to debug or fix this?

I've tried:
*Removing and reinstalling Droplets module
*Removing and reinstalling ShowAd/ShowAd2 droplets
*Moving the droplet call to/from another section on the same page
*Deleting and creating a new section for the ShowAd content (the one referenced in the [[showad?section=##]] call)
*Changing the calling page template to a WB default one (eg: Round)
*Changing the page template for the ShowAd section's page to a WB default
*Deleting the image used in the ShowAd section content

None of these have changed anything. What else could be affecting the output?

Any tips or suggestions welcomed!

A shot in the dark: what happens if you remove the active email link on the homepage?

Thanks for the reply Argos! I tried it but nothing changed re: ShowAd.

I've also tried:
*Removing all other droplets from template/page
*Changing the referenced section's page parent and visibility
*Removing the HREF link (which is a [wblink##] type, so uses square brackets as well) in the referenced section
*Moving the [[showad...]] call to another page with nothing else on it.

Yes, this is frustrating.  huh Would turning on PHP error reporting help? Where would I look for the error log if I do?

Hello,

I am working on a function/droplet to use with jquery and colorbox, which I need for a current project of mine.
Let me know it this is of interest, if so, I would like to open a new thread in the Droplets Subforum.

(not ready yet.)

Hi Stefek, I don't understand how a colorbox droplet would help solve this challenge. But if so, I would be interested in it. Thanks.

Do droplets work at all on your installation?
