Hi guys,
Very strange thing is happening, i think.
I just installed a fresh wb. Made some basic tweaks, no big deal.
The website should have an English content. The admin should stay in Dutch.
I changed the language in 'Settings' to English. In my 'Preferences' is changed the language into Dutch, as i want to use the admin with the Dutch language.
But when i go to the website www,website.com while i'm still logged in the admin, i get the Under Contructions page.
The 'Home' page of the website is...blog.php So when i manualy navigate to www,website.com/blog.php i can see the website without any problems.
When i log out from the admin, and than visit www,website.com i get no Under Construction page.
Hmmm...  undecided Why is that?
I closed my browser, cleared cookies and stuff so i'm sute that all sessions are gone. If that might be an issue...
But there must be something else going on as this problem still is there.
I made a .htaccess file with DirectoryIndex blog.php for temporary use. But this shouldn't be necessary.
Because i just got finished with an other website based on wb with basicly the same settings. It's even on the same server, but in different subdomains.

thx

The languages are the issue ... set your admin account to EN and it will work. Or create a "startpage" for/in dutch language and redirect to the english page.

cheers

rolleyes haha i allready changed the backend language to english and switched it back to Dutch again.
I did noticed that this will do the trick too.
But the strange thing is. For about 1½ year ago (wb 2.7) i had a similar website. English frontend, Dutch backend.
And i didn't had problems with that version and the different languages settings. I guess the languages is causing this issues with the birth of v2.8
Well, it's not really a big problem, but if things can be solved, it's allways better.
But i'm glad this bug is familiar on the community. Thank you for answering me Klaus

Cheers to you too
