Hi!

I didn't find any topics including my question about php 5.3..

The server where my websites are at is turnin from php 5.2. to 5.3. I have one site with WebsiteBaker 2.7.x and other with 2.8.

So my question is: Are those versions (WebsiteBaker 2.7.x and 2.8 ) working with php 5.3?? Yes, I know this is dumb question..

And other..

Do I have to upgrade from 2.8 to 2.8.1? I tryed it on my test server, but the upgrade didn't work. I followed instructions precisely.. It seemed like some files was missing fom the part where addons are.. It didn't find for example ugrade.php from news modul.

we are also running 5.3 and haven't encountered any problems.

You should always upgrade to the last stable version. As for the failed upgrade we would have to knew more about the error messages, your server environment and possibly changes made to your installation.

I can't see any functionality used in WebsiteBaker that is specifically affected by changing to 5.3. You may notice some more messages in your error log referring to deprecated functions, but this won't affect the application.

If you notice strange behaviour, try testing with a clean install of the latest WB release, and then report any problems so they can be looked into.

Sorry about my late reply! Everything is working fine on WB Smiley I was little bit too worried about changes cause I did not find any information about it. But like I said everything works like a charm.

Thanks for answers!

If you turn on error reporting you get a few depreached messages.

It is easier to change the specification to fit the program than vice versa.

Yes, "deprecated" messages are normal for apps written pre-5.3 since some of the PHP features will be removed in 6.0, and we're being warned about that in 5.3.
