Hi Samuel,
Thank you very much for taking the time to contribute your suggestion. The example you provided makes it obvious that this would indeed be a useful feature.
Unfortunately these features are not currently available in Bakery however I have added them to the list of requested features wich you can find at
http://www.websitebaker2.org/forum/index.php/topic,18426.msg128643.html#msg128643
. If you or anyone else would like to help contribute by implementing any of the requested features in this list, please contact me.
With warmest regards,
Michael Milette

Hi,
I would like the feature to add Options as a sub-option of another option already created for a product and to manage stock inventory at that level.
For example, If Product A is available in three colours (e.g. red, green, blue) then I would like to add say size options but specify which are available to which Product Option (e.g. Red and Green available in S, M, L, XL sizes but Blue available in S, M , L only).
And then I would like to be able to manage stock at each level?

The one most important feature would be the means to have an alternative to the word 'bakery' showing in the url of shop pages. This is the BIGGEST limitation of the module, and the most annoying.
At present the only way this can be done is to use a text replacement program to replace all instances of the words:
'bakery, ''Bakery' and 'BAKERY'
to something mere meaningful such as 'shop', 'Shop' and 'SHOP' as described in the forum post:
http://www.websitebaker2.org/forum/index.php/topic,19639.0.html
as described by mjm4842
This should surely be a simple matter to implement and would make this module a lot more friendly and probably much, much more popular, in-fact increase the popularity of Website Baker too, as this small but significant problem must put many potential users off what is otherwise one of the best CMS's out there...

I've been working on this for the next version of Bakery. So far I have added a new config file where you can specify the name of the directory. Changing in just one spot before installing will make it a snap to change the name to anything you want. It's not working perfectly just yet as some of the html templates have hard coded folder names. I will be able to work it out however I am not quite there just yet.
I have also begun to implemenmt another variable which will make it possible to configure the prefix name for the bakery tables for those who might want to run a completely separate instance of bakery. My analysis shows that it doable however the configuration will end up being a manual process as I am not sure how to implement a questionnaire in the middle of the installation process.
My hope is tha the next version of Bakery will become available sometime around December, even if it is just an initial pre-release version for early adopters who want to help test some of the new functionality before it is officially released as a stable version.
With best regards,
Michael Milette

Could you add a [THUMB_URL] (for $thumb_url.$thumb_file) placeholder that can be used in the templates?

It would be great to add a text field as an option to every item, e. g. for t-shirts and items like that to have individual text printed on it. One of my clients is
www.kerzen-dekoration-online.de
, they are designing candles (Bakery 1.5.6) and they can put individual text on their candles. So it would be great to have a text field for that.

Hi Jochen,
Great idea. I've heard that suggestion from others too. I thought that was already on the list. I have now added it.
http://www.websitebaker2.org/forum/index.php/topic,18426.msg128643.html#msg128643
I also added a suggestion to make it possible to add the same product item multiple times. That way someone can start by adding 10 of something to the cart and then add another 10 later without having to go to the cart first (though they will still be able to that way too).
Thanks for sharing!
Michael

Hi Michael,
two more things came to my mind (I think I couldn't find them on the list yet ...):
A sales statistic (backend) would be very helpful (sales sorted by week, month, year, total sales, and also sales sorted by item (bestselling list).
Payment method cash/self-pickup (for online shops with a local store).
By the way, you are doing a great job! Bakery is a great addition to WB!

Hi Jochen,
Thanks once again for the great suggestions! I added the sales statistics and cash option to the wish list. The pickup idea was already there however I added your ID beside it in support of that idea.
The changes that will actually be included in the next version of Bakery are listed at:
http://www.websitebaker2.org/forum/index.php/topic,18426.msg128640.html#msg128640
The link in my previous message takes you to the Wish list for future development. If you or anyone else would like to contribute to the development of any of these features, please let me know. Here is the link again:

A number of requests:
I am a trainer (not a programmer). I want some simple things:
- better invoice, pdf with logo emailed to customer. Let me explain. Now there is an option for invoice, but this option is really to send a bill, the invoice is not paid already. I want/need the invoice created automatically and emailed to customers when a sale is made. What is being emailed now, is a completed order. If I use the order ID ([ORDER_ID] ) as specified in the HELP, there is a gap for between the invoice numbers. This is because for every aborted proces the order number is thrown out. Maybe create a variable for every completed order and call this INVOICE_ID. Also, when this invoice is created, it needs to be emailed automatically (as now a order confirmation is).
- The copy of the succesfull order (preferably the complete invoice) on the server needs to maintain/hold all the details for future printing/backup.
- an excell sheet to do simple bookkeeping, with VAT also totalled. The excell sheet needs to have at least the invoice numbers (INVOICE_ID), names of customers, en total cost, VAT seperated. This excell sheet needs to be updated automatically for every month or 3 month period, and download-able from the backend upon request, maybe even emailed automatically (set date for emailing, daily, weekly, monthly) so it can be used for taxes easily.
- I run into a simple problem. If I have completely different things I sell, I cannot customize the confirmation message, as there is ONE confirmation message for each payment method. I sell access to part of a website, and courses. This cannot be put into one confiirmation message.
- automatic certificate of completion of course followed creation.
The creation of this certificate is rather simple, it is like a the email confirmation or the automatic invoice creation. (logo, tekst, the specified variables).
Updated 5 december.

Hi Ben,
Thank you for your excellent suggestions. I have added them to the Future Features Request List.
One of your suggestions was to have HTML invoices with a logo. You can currently customize the invoice to have your logo appear on it. However this is not the same invoice which is sent out by email, which I suspect is what you are really after.
The confirmation email which is sent out to the customer can customized message in the Payment Methods screen. Just be sure to select the correct method before you modify the message. Unfortunately HTML is not currently supported. In fact, based on my tests, HTML will be filtered out if you try to include it.
Replacing the text-only field with a WYSWYG editor and removing the code which filters out the HTML might provide you with a solution that meets your needs. If you do this, keep in mind that some email applications do not automatically show graphics so don't count on it.
Please feel free to contribute any code you develop for integration into future releases of Bakery. Your support would be much appreciated.
With warmest regards,
Michael

Hi Comfort,
Thank you very much for contributing your suggestions. I have added your requests to the Wish List for a Future Release of Bakery at
http://www.websitebaker2.org/forum/index.php/topic,18426.msg128643.html#msg128643
The only exceptions are:
Customers id's - Can you tell me more about this?
Excel csv export / import - What is it that you want to import and export?
Best regards,
Michael

I would like to see inline Product Images Switcher: to switch between 3-4 thumbnails and corresponding big image,
without page reload. Like this examples:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/B000SKXHCU/ref=dp_images_0
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/B0011ZCDKS
http://www.live-inspired.com/She-by-Kobi-Yamada-P53
http://www.cargoh.com/product/blue-birds-coin-purse
Thumbnails need be real thumbnails (separate pics), not a scaled down large images. Switching images in viewer will be by click on thumbnail or by click in on big image itself - should works both ways.
Switcher can be coded with a piece of Javascript code and CSS, without any use of jQuery library and Lightbox.
Lightbox is slow to load, plus it put black background overlay which break the design of whole page.
This feature would be great for WB CMS also, not only for Bakery module.

Hi Slowfoot and pulsarx,
Thank you very much for those excellent suggestions. I have added both these last two suggetions to the future features request list found at:
http://www.websitebaker2.org/forum/index.php/topic,18426.msg128643.html#msg128643
Please be sure to let me know if you develop either of these two ideas. I would appreciate any code contributions you might have to offer in developing these ideas.
With best regards,
Michael

Hi Michael,
for Product Images Switcher, for example, can be used Javascript ImageSwitcher code from
http://www.varal.org/media/imageswitcher/thumbnails.html
Although it's a bit outdated (around 2002), it works ok and do the task. Definitely, there is another scripts that can do the same task, but it would be better to use just lightweight JavaScript.
or like this:

Hello Michael,
I just stumbled across this thread and although I really appreciate your enthusiasm in collecting the community's wishes, it looks like an awful piece of work fulfilling them
Of course, this thread rises a couple of questions...
Will it be compatible with the current Bakery release and will I be able to migrate a running shop to your new shop module?
Is there a list of priorities, i.e. functions most needed or important and therefore first to find in a new Bakery release?
Is there anything worth testing yet?
One thing I dislike about many WB modules is the outdated and inflexible table-based HTML output. So my feature suggestion would be a contemporary frontend appearance, easy to edit in the backend and styled by CSS. If you need any help on this, please let me know; same goes for German translation.
Regards,
Frank

Hi,
Firstly, I would like to thanks everyone involved in WB and Bakery as this is the best thing I have found in years!!
I have read through this topic and hope I'm posting in the correct place.
My problem!
I have a set of customers who are only authorised (by their company) to buy a select set of products that are customised to their own specification and with their own pricing. The base (non customised) products are available to the general public at the usual price.
In order to seperate out the particular products I have created a new user/group for each company and user. I have added a new bakery page with access only for that company group and added that to a new menu (multiple menu module) so only users from a set group get the option to view these products. (also turned off searching for these pages.
This all seems to work ok as I can have products and pricing to suit however most of these special customers have a 30 day invoice account. I want to the general public to only have paypal as an option and invoice for account customers and not paypal. Can I set payment options per bakery page or set this by user/group?
I think having multiple stores is going too far for my needs.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Phill

Hi!
@mjm4842
I'm wondering how the implementations of the new features in post:
http://www.websitebaker2.org/forum/index.php/topic,18426.msg128640.html#msg128640
is coming along? Some of the features mentioned in that post would be very welcome.

May be already mentioned but what I would love to see:
add/change/delete fields in the checkoutpage #1.
Got several customers who wants to have a free textfield, or want to add a date onto their order. Lots of examples why this should be integrated

When image resize is selected under "3. Add Images", the resulting lightbox2 image uses this resized image. It doesn't make sense to have a popup lightbox image the same size as the link image on the page.
I know you can call the lightbox from the thumb image, but sometimes it's necessary to have the three stages:
1. thumbnail with Brief Description
2. Resized image with Full Descrition
3. Lighbox2 pop-up FULL SIZE image for detailed view of the image
If you don't use resize image on large dimension images, the Full Description page image goes off the page.
What I would really like is the same functionality and selectable settings as Jquery Admin's Fancybox
