Has anyone successfully integrated the WB wysiwyg editor into a frontend module?  I would very much like to utilize it in the next release of the adbaker module.  Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I made a mini version of wysiwyg (no droplets, only basic style functions, add image, paste from word..) it is 2mb (too big) so I am still considering options (including security) should I use it or not in my new project Im making..

I can send it to you on email, or you can make your own (copy it to your module and then dissable buttons you want..)

cheers

Hello!

For that ckeditor http://ckeditor.com/ would be best. Unfortunately ckeditor isn't yet integrated in WB core, because it was quite complicated with CK 3.0 to integrate it. Now with CK 3.2 it's very easy to integrate it, also with jQuery. So you can configure it just uses a small buttonset. Of course then there needs to be made sure, CKeditor (not FCK!) is installed.

Please keep in mind: Frontend editing is always a matter of security...

Thanks for the advice guys.  Ideally what even editor is installed and set to default in the back-end should be the one used throughout the site.  So supporting just one is out I think.  Unless I somehow package the install for the editor in with the install for my module?

I know there was a module some where that checked if other required modules where installed, does any one no which one that is.  If i could emulate that then I can support only on editor with a check to ensure it is installed.
