Working on a new backend template, feedback needed

I'm currently working on a new backend template for WebsiteBaker and I'd like to have some feedback on my first mockup: (btw, I'm not very happy with the icons, currently looking for better)

i like orange! 

the grey menu is a little to paltry (impropper) in contrast to the clear and smooth icons and main area...but this is just only my personal thougt...

i would like to test it and see how it works - i think alltogether it is a real good addition to the existing designs!!
