Hi
I've been searching for ways to modify news module, to show news in the way I'd like them to be shown.

The only way to format a certain news I found, is to edit add.php in news module. But this works only for news being inserted into database.
Is it the only way to edit overall outlook of a news, to switch code for example from tables to pure css ?
How can I do it to see changes at once, on already added news, not to add another news every time I want to see changes in code ?

As above, where should I look to change display of created page with all listed news ?

2nd thing: how to get rid of inline css added to news ?
I'd like to transfer news css to my template's css file, to maintain code's semantics.

I've lost quite some time already, but no luck.
Anynews were much easier to work with, but now is the time to format subpages, and news section is the last thing I need to change :/

no, table's aren't a must.
But are a little bit easier to create a "template" to show news & comments.
I stylized it use divs  in midst.

imo: it would be easier to have a possibility to create a new's template file, as an additional way to format news.

Hi,
I also have a problem with the styles in the news module after upgrading from 8.0 to 8.1. the styles I have put in the stylesheet of the news module don't show on the website. For instance I would like to show the title in bold, but that is only possiibple if I put <b>-tags in the template. If I say in the css-file that for instance the post-title class has to be bold, it doesn't show on the website.
Can someone help me with that?
Thanks, Yvonne

Do you actually use the post-title class in your output template? If so, the CSS file should work, unless it is overridden at local level with inline CSS for example.
