@icouto and doc
The WB_link plugin was created for an earlier Version of FCKEditor. FCKEditor changes the handling of the plugins a few versions ago but after the WW_plugin was created. Until now no one adapted this plugin to use the new technics of FCKEditor. So i think this may be the issue and it will be solved as soon as this plugin is adapted to the new FCKEditor requirements of WB.
I hope there are php gurus here, who have the time and the knowledge to adapt and fix this.

There seems to be a bug with the template mapping in the FCKeditor. I tried to set up some extra templates in the
wb_config/wb_fcktemplates.xml
, but the editor could not map to this Website Baker file, it is using the original fcktemplates.xml file.
I traced the problem, and I found it in the
include.php
file: The
file_exists
function for the wb_fcktemplates.xml file is using WB_URL as path, it should be WB_PATH.

I'm getting an error on one website with fckeditor and not on others ... not sure if it's because that's the only site that has the fckeditor 2.7.4a version or if it's something else about that website. I have WB 2.6.7 installed. The problem is only in IE7; it works fine in Firefox.
When I insert a Website Baker link and select the page to link to, I get a series of script errors as below:
Line: 6
Char: 3
Error: Object doesn't support this property or method
Code: 0
URL:
http://www.rockymountaincollege.ca/modules/fckeditor/fckeditor/editor/plugins/WBModules/fck_wbmodules.php
If I answer either Yes or No to running more scripts, I get a second error:
Line: 112
Char: 2
Error: Object doesn't support this property or method
Code: 0
URL:
http://www.rockymountaincollege.ca/modules/fckeditor/fckeditor/editor/fckdialong.html
Third error if I answer Yes (but not if I answer No):
Line: 314
Char: 1
Error: Object doesn't support this property or method
Code: 0
URL:
http://www.rockymountaincollege.ca/modules/fckeditor/fckeditor/editor/fckdialong.html
It now brings me back to the place where I can select a page for the link. But if I cancel at that point, the link is there and is working.
Any thoughts?

Did you ever come up with a solution to this problem? I am having the same problem, I am not using IE7, but it is the same problem I am getting in IE6.

Actually, yes and no ...
I did not actually find a solution to the problem, but then it's only affecting one website and not the others. It's almost like there's an interaction problem between the fckeditor module and another.
By the time we started having the problem, I didn't really want to blow away the whole site and start again.
So for now we're putting up with it, but I really don't like having to do that. If anyone comes up with a solution, we'd love to hear about it!

I'm working on the error message when trying to create a WB internal link.
I get the error in IE7, but not Firefox.
The error is caused by the following line in wbmodules.html, in function ok()
Code:
SetAttribute( oLink, 'title', document.getElementById( 'txtTitle' ).value ) ;
I don't actually use the title property on links anyway, so I've commented the line out in the code. And hip hip hooray! No more error. I'm attaching it here in case it would help anyone else. Put the file in modules/fckeditor/fckeditor/editor/plugins/WBModules/, and remove the .txt
I'm sorry I don't know enough JavaScript to figure out why that statement is failing.
Melissa.

I'm using FckEditor 2.74a & WB 2.6.7
1) I can type in Firefox but can't type anything in IE6
2) I try to modify the FCKEditor tool bar in wb_fckconfig.js
Can't see any tool bar changes in Firefox but can see tool bar changes in IE6
Any idea how to modify the tool bar and make FckEditor works for both Firefox & IE?
Thanks.

Hello,
sounds like your IE blocks popups or some Javascript routines are not enabled. The WB module v2.74 of FCK you are using works fine with IE from v5.5 onwards, only Opera and Safari are not supported.
Just saw that a
new version of the FCKEditor
was released by the developers. The latest released beta version supports Opera and Safari. For the full list of features
read here
.
Hope someone will find the time to make a working WB module out of the latest release. Seems to be a major release.
Regards Christian

Security vulnerability (all FCKEditor modules prior to v2.75)
«
Reply #215 on:
October 22, 2007, 09:44:50 PM »
Hello,
all Website Baker FCKEditor modules prior to v2.75 contain a security bug, which allows any user to upload images or textfiles (no PHP files with the default settings) to the Website Baker MEDIA directory. The user does not require access to the backend.
So please update to the latest fixed version v2.75 (or higher) as soon as possible.
Simply selecting another editor in the WB backend will not solve the problem!!
Please read the
English security announcement
or
this German thread
for further information.

New FCKEditor release v2.76
«
Reply #216 on:
October 29, 2007, 09:07:19 PM »
Hello,
the
new FCKEditor module v2.76 is out
.
The following additional security measures were introduced based on v2.75:
removed possibility to upload files or to create folders via the FCKEditor dialogues
PHP connector is only active for authentificated WB users with permissions to view the MEDIA folder (v2.75 only checks only if user is loged into WB)
buttons to search the server (e.g. image/flash/link browser) only enabled if user has permission to view MEDIA folder
file uploads and creation of folders needs to be done via the WB MEDIA center
The measures do allow WB to take over the control of permissions in the MEDIA folder. In all previous versions, users with access to the backend could upload files to the MEDIA folder by the FCKEditor dialogue regardless of their WB permission.
Deinstall the previous version and install the latest version via the WB backend. Remember to copy your personal settings folder:
/wb_config
.

@doc
is there any reason why you changed back line 100 from include.php
from:
Code:
if(file_exists(WB_PATH .'/modules/fckeditor/wb_config/wb_fcktemplates.xml')) {
to:
Code:
if(file_exists(WB_URL .'/modules/fckeditor/wb_config/wb_fcktemplates.xml')) {
This was the changes from version 2.74 to 2.74a from this post here:
Quote from: fjord on July 05, 2007, 11:36:07 AM
There seems to be a bug with the template mapping in the FCKeditor. I tried to set up some extra templates in the
wb_config/wb_fcktemplates.xml
, but the editor could not map to this Website Baker file, it is using the original fcktemplates.xml file.
I traced the problem, and I found it in the
include.php
file: The
file_exists
function for the wb_fcktemplates.xml file is using WB_URL as path, it should be WB_PATH.

Bugfix release FCKEditor v2.77
«
Reply #219 on:
October 30, 2007, 05:46:51 PM »
Hello,
the reason was I mixed up v2.74 and v2.74a. Have just
released version v2.77 of the FCKEditor
module, which is now based on v2.74a and includes the security fixes introduced with v2.75 and v2.76.
The bugfix described by Melisa some posts below was not added yet.
Code:
SetAttribute( oLink, 'title', document.getElementById( 'txtTitle' ).value ) ;
Needs some further testing on other browsers as well.
So if you have problem with templates, upgrade to the latest version available on the Add-ons repository. Sorry for the inconvenience caused by the mix up.

Hi,
I updated the fckEditor module to 2.7.7 and I am still running into problems I already experienced with an earlier version:
- mark a text
- open "include WB link"
- choose the page
- add text to the link title (which is necessary in my case for seo)
- save (which closes the pop up)
- save the editor window itself too
-- -- the pop up is displayed again automatically
-- -- the link title is not saved to the source code
(all in Firefox 2)
Can't get rid of these two bugs yet.
Additionally I would need a field "class name" above or below the link title field.
Best regards,

Hello,
the WBlink modul is written for older Version of FCKEditor. FCKEditor changed the way of Usermodul handling but the WBlink modul was never adapted to this new handling. So it needs to be rewritten. Hope someone can do this.

Just a thought.... it still says the following on the module download page:
Quote
This module integrates the external editor FCKEditor
v2.43
to your Website Baker installation.
Someone might want to change it to the right version.
