Thank you, Christian
Unfortunately, the deinstall/install makes no difference. According to phpinfo(), open_basedir has no value, either locally or on the master level. There must be something else, that is different between 2.75 and 2.85?
Site works now without any further changes (doc)
If I have to go back to 2.75, where can I find the zip-file to make the install?
/Regards

I am trying to insert a picture using the recently upgraded FCKeditor (now version 2.85). On the first attempt, after clicking "Browse server" on the "Image info" tab, I got a message instructing me to enable a connector in editor/filemanager/connectors/php/config.php. Having done that, I now get this message: "The 'GetFoldersAndFiles' command isn't allowed".
FCKeditor must be trying to access the media-folder in a different way from what the previous versions did. In those versions I had no trouble browsing the media-directory.
Is there anything I can do to work around this problem? Are there any other settings I need to change?

PS: Further regarding the "GetFoldersAndFiles" error. The error occurs when I try to insert a new picture in a document/news item.
If on the other hand I select an existing picture in a document, click the "Insert/edit picture" button, and then the "Browse server" button - then no error occurs, and I am allowed to browse the media-folder and its subfolders without restrictions.
What's the difference?

Hello all!
I've the same Problem as Achrist:
Code:
I installed FCK Editor 2.85 on top of WB 2.6.7 to replace FCK 2.75. As a result, the editor does not display at all when i select an existing wysiwyg page or create a new one. ....
If i change to HTMLEdit, the HTMLArea is loading correct. But i can't save my changes. If I click on the Button Save, the Page will switch to the Start-Site of WB-Admin,
without save any changes
.
A second Website-Baker by the same Provider with the Version 2.7.1 of FCKEditor is working correctly.
I work with IE7 and the Browser show me severals "error on page":
Erlaubnis verweigert -> NoAccess
FCKConfig ist Null or no Object
FCKBrwoserInfo.IsIE ist Null or no Object
FCKConfig.PageConif
g ist Null or no Object
FCK.ContextMenu ist Null or no Object
FCKLang is not correct
Website-Backer Version: 2.6.7
Webserver PHPInfo:
http://gic-web-bsd-016.genotec.ch/info/mod_php/
I have allready deinstalled the FCKEditor, checked the deinstall with FTP an install the older Version, clear the Chache. No positiv results.
The Demo-FCKEditor ist working conrectly
At the Moemnt I can't change the conent!
I Think i need a little bit help...
Thx

Hi
I am not sure I can help you, because the cause of my problems with the FCKeditor upgrade was never found. All of a sudden, it it just started working.
The only thing I can recommend is to clear the cache and cookies of your browser and see if that helps.
PS: When I upgraded WB from 2.6.7 to 2.7 a few days ago, I had to deinstall the FCKeditor, and then it was reinstalled with the WB upgrade. This worked without any problems.

Hello,
check via Settings, which editor is specified. Deinstall FCKEditor again. Clear browser cache and reload the tools (Settings -> Advanced Options -> Administration Tools. Then upload the FCK files manually to /modules/fckeditor via. Log into the backend reload the tools again activate FCK as default editor and see what happen.

The other day I downloaded wb_v2.7.0 and today noticed the fckeditor.php file was missing the end php tag "?>"
also I needed to edit the file like this again, or get the "open_basedir restriction in effect" message, even with safe mode off
include_once( dirname(__FILE__).'/fckeditor_php5.php' );
http://www.websitebaker2.org/forum/index.php/topic,1670.msg50574.html#msg50574
probably not an issue on most web servers, maybe something wrong with mine
to be sure safe mode was really off, I ran this <?php echo ini_get('safe_mode'); ?> and it returned 0;

Im sorry if this is common question, just couldnt find answer...
How could I change the size of FCKeditor editing space?
I managed to change lenght by editing modules\wysiwyg\modify.php, on "show_wysiwyg_editor". But changing width does not work, apparently admin pages layout does not allow it to be wider. So where do I change the layout of admin page so that I can make editor wider?
Also, where should I copy my CSS code so that FCKeditor would also show content as in frontend?

Hi,
there is a button on the
first line
of the fck-editor (second from the right) of the fck-editor that pushes the editor to a maximum width.

Create a editor.css and load it in your template at first css-file. You can load other css-files later:
Code:
<link href="http://www.yourdomain.tld/templates/yourtemplate/editor.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
<link href="http://www.yourdomain.tld/templates/yourtemplate/template.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
<link href="http://www.yourdomain.tld/templates/yourtemplate/print.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="print" />

Thanks erpe, for CSS answer.
But im not so easy with editor width
I know that full screen mode, but what im looking for is to have editor width as same as my frontend content part. So it would be real WYSIWYG.

Hi Taajuus,
in that case You need to create an editor.css from Your screen.css and place it in the template-folder. Furthermore You have to link it in the index.php - similar to the screen.css.
Now edit that file until it fits Your needs anmd whishes.
For the width You must set the body new, like this:
body {
width:950px;
background-color: black;
color: #bebebe;
}
You could even set a background-image and so on.
Don´t forget to define the fonts, the font-size, font-color and all needed things.
Here You can create headlines with specific color, size, background, border and everything.

Thanks, i think i got that CSS for editor ok now.
But still no luck with editor width. Adding that width argument into editor.css does not do the trick.
Still i think that admin page itself has table layout that does not allow editor to be wider. And i would need to change it first. Question is, what to change?

Ah! Finally got it.
You can adjust editor size in:
modules\fckeditor\fckeditor\fckeditor_php5.php
..or if using php4
modules\fckeditor\fckeditor\fckeditor_php4.php
Change:
Code:
$this->Width = '100%' ;
$this->Height = '200' ;
...To your needs

Jumped over here from the other thread since it seems you addressed my original problem here...I downloaded & installed the update and am still getting a forbidden error when I try and access media. Do you think it could be some setting on the server? None of my other WB sites are having this problem but I dont know what to ask the hosting guys to check. Thanks

Would this be the correct place to ask for help with styles in FCK?
I have tried entering new styles in the "fckstyles.xml" like this
<Style name="text" element="span">
<Style name="color" value="#ccccff" />
</Style>
and I have entered new styles in "fck_editorarea.css" as normal CSS
but none these will create any new styles for use in the editorl.
I have also deleted styels from the "fckstyles.xml" but when looking in the editor they are still there.
FCK don't seems to care at all about any of my changes.
How does one remove unwanted styles from the editor and add new styles?
?

Hello,
have you deleted the Browser cache? Most of the changes in FCK config files do only work after deleting the cache.

Hello, I know how to add custom styles to the Style dropdown list. The names of added custom styles are quite long and I have to use them.
However, for many added names, only part of a name can be seen. How can I specify the width of this Style dropdown list?
The names of the added styles are styled according to their rules. How can I prevent styled custom style names to display names simply in plain text?

Hi,
for the first part of your question:
I think it's better to ask in the FCKeditor forum.
Please understand: in WebsiteBaker FCKeditor is used as a module, we've only made the bridge to integrate FCK-Editor into websitebaker.
Your question touches the core functionality of FCKeditor ...
for the second part of your question:

No idea, what you mean ... please explain it in a way everybody can understand ...

I did quite search on the net but failed to find the answer. Found this forum about FCKEditor. Will ask there.

A custom style's name is red and bold if the style has something like "color:red;font-weight:bold". I would like to know whether there is a way to simply display the name in the style list without any styling (red, bold).
Thanks for your attention and asking!
