I've tried going to
http://addons.websitebaker.org/
but I just get a Plesk page.
Is there a definitive place where I can download FCKEditor and any other relevant files?
Thanks.

hello everybody,
i'm not sure if this fits in exactly here. i am looking for a way to expand the functionality of the FCK editor.
i would love to integrate an extra button which inserts an empty page template when pressed. the page layout only needs to be set up once and stay the same from that time on.
as anyone of you tweaked fck editor like this before?
thanks!

I don't understand the reason for this. Why did you need an empty page template and what did you mean with this?

hey ruebenwurzel,
lets say i got a page called online-catalog.
now i need a new sub-page for each item. each item page structre is exactly the same.
it has one html-table which holds
article-nr., ,name, color, weight and so on...
it would be a lot easier to fit in new empty pre-formatted html product-tables with one click only, because not everybody is able to handle html source code...
i hope this explains it better
bye

...the stadium of the catalogs modul is
not completed
, because there are a lot of issues and errors....
besides this the catalog funtionalty is not what i'm after, expanding FCKEditor a little is what i was asking for...
will post it here when it's done. maybe some might consider it useful...

Hello
I'v got another problem with FCKEitor and News module. I add some Special Character in Short and Logn story - for example "ó" - and save. When I want modify it special characters are "". Charset is UTF-8, in Wysving module everything is ok - so I don't know what is wrong witn news module???
Hi , I have the same problem. I tried change the charset from UTF-8 to ISO-8859-2, but it didn´t work. If I change setting charset to different than UTF-8, all pages including Admin panel display wrongly (přihlášen -> pĹihlĂĄĹĄen). I don´t know where is problem, coding in browsers works well (IE, Mozilla).
Thx for your advice.

the charset used by WB needs to be the same like the one set on your webserver and databaseserver.
If DB Server uses UTF-8 it will store all data in this charset. So, check out which charset is in use on your server and then set WB to that charset.

I use Unicode.
FCK editor works fine in WYSIWYG but when I open an article i News module my danish caracters "æ ø å" shows as ? ? ?.
I have just tried to change the editor and there is no problems with HTMLarea, Tinymce and Xinha, så it must be af FCK problem.

Hello,
this is depending on how you did the first install. If you installed it via WB admin, best is to uninstall via WB admin and reinstall via WB admin.

FCKEditor Modul v2.71
«
Reply #169 on:
February 04, 2007, 01:14:12 PM »
Hello,
done some modifications based on v2.7 of the FCKEditor Modul for Website Baker released by Matthias.
The new version detects, wheater there is a editor.css files in the templates folder (default template or template folder of the current displayed page). If an editor.css file if found, it uses the definitions in it to format the HTML elements in the textarea of the editor. In addition class elements (e.g. .mystyle) contained in editor.css will be parsed as XML file and automatically be added to the "Styles" menu of the FCK toolbar. This allows to use individual CSS definitions for different templates.
In addition I moved all WB related Javascript settings from /editor/fckconfig.js into /wb_config/wb_fckconfig.js. Sended the zip package to Matthias for testing. As soon he is finished, he will add the updated version (v2.71) to the repository.
Regards Christian

Hello,
thanks doc for this fantastic peace of work. The FCKEditor module works like a charm and the new possibility to config the editor in a wb_fckconfig.js are a great addition.
I replaced the file on the addons page with your modul and recommand all users to use this one as the default WYSIWYG Editor.
To update from a previous version, simply uninstall the old one and reeinstall the new one.
Thanks doc for this great addition

FCKEditor Modul v2.72 released
«
Reply #171 on:

Hello,
thanks to the investigative work by Matthias (ruebenwurzel) at the FCKEditor forum, we could release the new WB FCKEditor module which incorporates the latest
version of the FCKEditor (v2.4.1)
.
Apart from the upgrade to the latest FCKEditor version, we introduced the following changes:
removed two files which could be used to upload any file from outside to the WB media directory if the exact URL is known (thanks to Funky_MF)
changed the following default settings in the wb_fckconfig.js files:
FCKConfig.EnterMode = 'p';
FCKConfig.ShiftEnte
rMode = 'br';
FCKConfig.FlashBrow
ser = true; (enables upload of Flash movies by default)
We highly recommend to update to the latest version available as it closes a possible security issue.
To update from a previous version, simply uninstall the old one and reinstall the latest version from the
addons repository
.

Thank you guy for the update.
I have on issue. I donno wheather this is originating from FCKEditor or not...
below you find the source code of the window that appears when one adds a WB link:
Code:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<!--

*
* == END LICENSE ==
*
* This page is used by all dialog box as the container.
-->
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
<meta name="robots" content="noindex, nofollow" />
<script type="text/javascript">
since my page is encoded in latin1 it should be like in the templates:
Code:
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=
<?php
if(
defined
(
'DEFAULT_CHARSET'
)) { echo
DEFAULT_CHARSET
; } else { echo
'utf-8'
; }
?>
" />
I think a simple search and replace could fix this.
Greetings,
Shakka

@YeShakka
Thanks for the information. Have had a quick look into
\fckeditor\editor\plugins\WBModules
folder. Seems that the doctype declaration and the <html> section is created or overwritten by the FCKEditor. So this issue already exists in the previous versions of the FCKEditor module. Maybe we can find out what part of the FCKEditor creates this entries to fix it with one of the next versions.

Hello,
the Charset is hardcoded in the plugins/WBModules/wbmodules.html . Tried to make it read the settings from WB options in a earlier version, but don't get it to work. Hardcoded it to ISO-8859-1 on my ISO-8859-1 Pages, because otherwise the special chars are not displayed correct.
Did the code work you added?
