GDPics Gallery 0.7: Thumbnail overview takes long time

Hey people,

I am using GDPics Gallery on my WB 2.6.7 system to presentate images. The installation and the pic naming and css-designing went well, but when testing the module, i had to wait quite a time until the thumbnail overview page of a folder was loaded and builded. I measured the time: 26sec for 190 thumbs, of which every 24 thumbs are shown per page. And loading the next page took also a lot of time. Reloading the same thumbnail folder a second time took me 10sec after all. I am using a standard german DSL-Internet-Access and every thumbnail overviews of photo galleries of friends need a fraction of this time.

Is there an option in GDPics Gallery which can be set to fasten this loading process?
