If you would like to do it on your own you need to navigate into the phpflickr directory inside the module an adjust (as mentioned in de blog post) the link to the photo... If I have some spare time I will try to update the phpflickr class to the latest version and that should also fix the problem. Hopefully I have some extra time before christmas...

Today I had some extra time before diner and I have updated the phpflickr class (which was included in the module). You can do two things. Just remove, deinstall and install and create a new page or you can just upload the new files and do a rebuild of the cache.

See this reply in the completed modules thread. If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask them...

I think you didn't fill in the right 'screen name'. You can find this name under 'Personal Information' within your flickr account. Also I think it can cause problems when you are having quote marks (') in your screen name. Furthermore you need to make sure all the capitals are written correct since the username is case sensetive...

Hopefully this helps. If you still have problems. Don't hesitate to post a message over here...

Check if you filled in the correct screenname. This can be different from your Yahoo login ID.

1. Login to flickr.com with your Yahoo! ID
2. Navigate to the section 'Your Account' (corner right above)
3. Press the link 'Your screen name' (under the section: personal information)
4. View the text that is filled in, in the form 'text field'

The name that is filled in over here needs to be given as an username in on the settings for the flicr gallery settings.

Hi Woudloper!

I've gotten Flickr to work on my site, and it looks pretty good. I have one question though.

Code:
<a href="[SETNAVFIRST]">&lt;&lt;</a>
  <a href="[SETNAVPREV]">&lt;</a>
  [SETNAVCUR]
  <a href="[SETNAVNEXT]">&gt;</a>
  <a href="[SETNAVLAST]">&gt;&gt;</a>

I'm not quite sure what these links are meant to do. Do they work when you have more than a few pictures? At the moment I only have 3 pictures on flickr, and when I click these links, nothing happens or changes.

Melissa

[edit after adding some more pictures]
These links still don't do anything. Hmm...

@PK, did you actually delete the page, which uses the module first?

@supermorris, haven't used it yet, but could it be, that your sever doesn't allow php to request external pages?

cheers

The links should work! I have tested this section very well. On my website it is working correctly. If will not function well, when you add e.g. 6 images and you have a maximum of 10 images per page. If you add more images this should function properly. You can always try to rebuild the cache.

when you sign up to flickr they give you an API key. you can find that from your account settings on the flickr.com site under http://www.flickr.com/services/api/keys/

Hi there,

Been playing with v1.3b but noticed a slight bug related to the image that appears next to each photoset.  Seems Flickr have changed the image servers a bit... found the following on the phpFlickr site:

---
It has come to my attention that if your photo's "server" number is 35 and you try to use the depreciated image URL format (i.e. "http://photos35.flickr.com/…." it will fail to resolve that server. You should use the new url format, which is:
    http://static.flickr.com/{server-id}/{id}_{secret}_[mstb].jpg
If you're using phpFlickr::buildPhotoURL(), then you'll need to fix the format for that. […]
---

I was getting broken images until I changed the format to the above in view.php.  Now using:

 $setimg = "http://static.flickr.com/" . $pset['server'] . "/" . $pset['p
rimary'] . "_" . $pset['secret'] . "_s.jpg";

Perhaps you could update this in the next release?  Thanks!

Hey great idea!! But I am having a few problems. I think I have all the details correct and installed correctly. The page was created but no photos show up. If I set a set name, it tell me that no set with that name exists:

Quote
Warning: The photosetname provided does not exist for this username. Please correct the groupname.

Also when I try to click the Execute Rebuild I get this error:

Quote
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class database in /nfs1/brownj.co.uk/www/wb/framework/class.database.php on line 47

Any help would be greatly appreciated, because I do not think I can afford to store images on my server.

Thanks

Hmm, it seems to be working now. Perhaps it takes a while for the API key to register.

Thanks great script!!

Actually, this error still comes about, and I just realised what it is for. Could someone help me out who knows what the error may be and how to solve it?

hi there,
I've got the same problem too. Everytime I click on "Execute rebuild" the systems comes up with the following Error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class database in /home/dihrch/public_html/cms/framework/class.database.php on line 47

I've been looking in the forum for quite a while now, but it seems there is no solution to this. The FlickrImagegallery module is the perfekt module to solve all my problems - once it works correctly.

any help out there?  huh

Try changing following line in the file "rebuildcache.php":

FROM:
Code:
require(WB_PATH.'/framework/class.database.php');

TO:
Code:
require_once(WB_PATH.'/framework/class.database.php');

You find this file in the folder modules/flickrgallery ... please report back, so we can fix the download.

cheers

Cool! Thx a lot - this one works fine!
I guess you should change the Module. And another hint: In the appearing update window you should enable the scroll bar - otherwise i cannot see on what the rebuilder is working.

But one problem is left: go to my site http://www.dihr.ch/cms and klick on "Bilder". You can see, there are some pictures missing.
If you klick on "Photos", you can see how the sets should look like. What's wrong here?

Thank you very much for the quick help!
