I've had the same problem: nothing seemed to work, so I duplicated a wb + database (http://help.websitebaker.org/pages/en/knowledge-base/moving-from-server-a-to-b.php) and deleted all pages and started all over again and it worked   grin

Check your filesystem permissions please: http://help.websitebaker.org/pages/en/knowledge-base/files-and-permissions.php

I bet that if you check, you will find, that the access files in the pages directory are not created ...

Hi!

I suddenly got this error. I tried to update to the latest version, no changes. I found this post and checked the permissions, i have 755 on all files and folders. My best estimate is that this is a permission error, but unfortunately I'm unable to troubleshoot this further. ;(

All help is appriciated.

Cheers,

Do you have access to the servers errorlog? If yes, you should find the relevant errors in there. Are you shure, that the Database credentials are correct?

Yeah, sure. Apache logs are ok.

If I'm logged in to WB as an admin and I open another tab in my browser my site works perfectly. When I close my admin tab I'm back to "Website Under Construction".

My Apache (2.2.8-1) runs as Apache, so my WB is

drwxr-xr-x 17 apache apache 4096 2010-03-15 10:47 wb

it may happen if you:

- Check if your first page on menu tree (menu Pages) is set to public visible
- Set defult site language(in Settings) to another than your user language (from your Preferences)

Yepp ... the fact that when you are logged in it works points in to the direction of the visibility settings for the pages ...
