Hi Community,

i still no Coder and still no Desinger and really a farmer (as such one i've got to less time in the last weeks to setup the 2.8 earlier!) - but Website Baker is a big part of my life now.... grin

i started a "Fan" project for the Website Baker Portable - preinstalled Webseverapplication on:

http://www.websitebaker-portable.com/

on this project homepage or on AMASP you can download the new 2.8 Portable -Edition- with a new handling of the offline "shortdocumentation", new design and some other additional stuff!

On the projectpage should grow the documentation for things that belong to the Website Baker - Server2go Edtion in the next week's and month's i will try to set up some tutorials that according to the Portable -Edition- like using a template switcher or such things.

Special Thanks goes to Christian M. Stefan (aka Stefek) for his Design and helping hand while coding the Website Baker Template!

Special Thanks goes to all my supporters who helped me with all the tricky stuff to get a professional product running that helps to make Website Baker much more popular in the www...

for questions, issues or commend please use this topic now!

i hope you enjoy it and it fit your needs.

Have Fun

Martin F.

Was it simplier to pack it in a zip file like the old one Smiley

hi ivan,

strange the .exe file should be intact.

maybe your system (antivir...) messed up the downloaded .exe ??

no one of the pretester has problems with the file until...

the .exe is a selfextracting packed file with 7z in the .7z format - with this step i've minimized the filesize to 36 MB instead of the 60 MB for a .zip file....if there grow up more problems i will change to .zip again but you should check it with a other system (download & unpacking)

regards martin

@all thank you for commends  cool

Something is not OK with the homepage link.
http://www.websitebaker-portable.com goes to http://www.websitebaker-portable.com/CMS/nl/documentatie.php
which cannot be found...

Download was OK though, installing it now.

I see some links work fine, but http://www.websitebaker-portable.com goes (as I am Dutch) to http://www.websitebaker-portable.com/CMS/nl/op-portable-edition.php and that's a 404.

for all German Users,

the Portable Project is listed now in the big "heise" software index

after my efforts of a couple of weeks they listed this version of WebsiteBaker additionally to the original WebsiteBaker Version

 grin grin

doubled present is better than once....

Link: http://www.heise.de/software/download/website_baker_portable/68029

i will edit the account a little bit....(i'm am absolutely not something like a "autor" or a "hersteller" i just combiened some thing for a special easy use the whole thing lokal or mobile)

i'm very glad to help WebsiteBaker to get to new users

best regards

I am excited at the Portable variation! I downloaded it and extracted the zip file. I then ran WebsiteBakerPortabl e.exe which starts an icon in the start bar.

What do I do next???

hi,

normaly firefox portable starts with/after the server2go (the tray icon...)

if not you can reach the portable installation under the adress
Code:
http://127.0.0.1:4001/wbdemo/

typ this in your browser and try it. PW and Username is "admin"

more information is here:
http://www.websitebaker-portable.com/CMS/en/about-portable-edition.php?lang=EN

and there
http://www.websitebaker-portable.com/CMS/en/documentation.php

but you should look on your system why the start of the Firefox Portable did not run correct...?

best regards
