Hi there,
I'm new to WB so please be patient Smiley
I've installed Wb into my WAMP directory, opened the wb/install/index.php, filled in all details, clicked "Install websitebaker"  and then I get a windows/service error :
" Apache Http Server has encountered a problem and needs to close..."
Can someone explain what's happening/ How I can resolve this?
Much appreciated!
Thanks.

Hi there, I'm still going with this problem. Anyone's got an idea why this happens?
In the meantime, I had locked myself out from PHP (sql error #1045), this was resolved though by adding a pw to the config.inc .
by the way, I/m using XP..
Thanks!

Hi Folks,

Pixability probably resolved this .. since they are active.

However I am a newbie with the same problem.
Here are some specifics.
========================================

XP Pro
Wamp
I put the installation at "websitebaker"
When I first went to
http://localhost/websitebaker/
I got the installation wizard, at:

http://localhost/websitebaker/install/index.php?sessions_checked=true

I can still go to the wizard directly but if I go to
http://localhost/websitebaker/
I get : Table 'wb.settings' doesn't exist

At the wizard, every thing looks green and nice,
The absolute URL is that http://localhost/websitebaker/ which is giving the message

And I am dealing with:

"Error: Please enter a username for the Administrator account "

And I have a problem getting the name and password in, and when I hit "Install websitebaker"

"Apache HTTP Server has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Do I have to correlate this with something on the apache server ? Do I go into PhpMyAdmin or some techie way and need to have a new user-password ?  (Still blank) Even if so, why would a wrong entry crash the server ?

And why the mb.settings message ?

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Shalom,
Steven Avery
