Oh I forgot the feedback ...
It runs under WB 2.7 IE6, IE7, IE8 and FF3.52 without any problems - bugs? I can´t find anything at this time. Good work
Cheers

cool module, it looks very nice
- maybe there is any possibility to style the output over css? So I´d like to generate a borderline around the map for example - you thought on this possibility?
I inserted a option to change it's width and height...
A option for border color could be usefull though..
Sincerly, I can't see a reason for using a exclusive css output.
Maybe two code blocks... for inserting html before and after should do what you want.
(And some embed css)

Why that? It would be very cool, ...
The marker management is the priority.
First i want to finish it..Then i'll start working on the routes.
I have some cool ideias like import from a nmea file and other stuff..
I already have some code from other projects... just need some free time to rewrite it as a WB module...

Made some experiments loading a kml with a route...
Well... a massive one, generated from a gps nmea log with loads of information.
Browser seems to get very slow with so much points and lines.

Hello dfelix,
on your website I found the following description for version 1.1 (as a feature included in this module)
Quote
adicionado o destaque automático de um marcador via carregamento através de link. (a informação é passada via querystring
?marker_id=*
)
How I can use it? You have an example for this feature or can you describe this? What kind of url I can use ...? What means * at this param? Where can I integrate this string? ... I realy enjoy this module
cheers

Hi,
Here is what you have to do:
1. Make a marker in some category.
2. See what is the marker's ID number (in backend by putting mouse over marker name, look in bottom left corner
)
3. On some other page, open WYSIWYG editor (for exmple, you can do it later anyway you want when you figure this out..)
4.Type OPEN MARKER and highlight that text and hit the icon Add WB link , then select the page where is your map.
5. When you did it, click view source in WYSIWYG editor.
6. Find <a href="[wblink4]">OPEN MARKER</a> text, where WBLINKxxx is number of WBLINK to the map page..
7. Add bolded code:
?marker_id=2
right after [WBLINK] and change the markers ID number to the one you want to highlight.. In my case it looks like this: <a href="[wblink4]
?marker_id=2
">OPEN MARKER</a>
Save, then go to fronted of that page where is WYSIWYG and klick the OPEN MARKER..
try, then come back
)

@crnogorac081
thanks a lot for your detailed description - now I know what happen
It´s so cool, I´m so excited - so I can add some links in the blog/news if I want to make my travel description next month, because I will spend my holidays in BC (Canada) for 4 weeks. Maybe I can create a route with google earth and add this via KML-file. I hope we will get until the 8 of september the next version
Wow, I´m so glad to get this module at the right time

@all,
how I can change the style of the info-window (marker information - pop up) Is there any possibility? I would like using the same colors just like on my website - the advantage of highslide (have a look to
http://www.citykircheberlin.de/pages/bereiche/hauskreise.php
)

I made the map with a vector program - just like corel or illustrator - drawed a outline and used some effects (drop shadow and gaussian filter) I was looking for a module, but at this time I think there isn´t any module for that. I created circle areas to get a link area and thats all - hardcoded. Perhaps the development of gottfried will bring a solution for this in the future - but if you need a map I can do it for you
So it´s all

To hear these comments from you - I feel ennobled
-. I had and have very good teacher and these helpful community. Thanks a lot to all
But I´m still not ready - I´m in anticipation of your new e-card module. So many ideas in my head - but with the community we will get a good result
I´m following your work and I can say - your pages have a very good design, you developed a good style!
(For me all these things are only a hobby - it´s not my job, I´m not a coder or designer or so - I like a good style - and want to make some things perfect, thats all
)

Andreas,
On the settings you have a textarea called "Template for Marker Information" where you can insert the info-window content formatted as html.
CSS styles are inherited from website template.
You just need to build the structure you want that, and use same elements and classes as the default pages.
Alvailable tags are:
{NAME} - Marker name
{LATITUDE} - Marker latitude
{LONGITUDE} - Marker longitude
{DESCRIPTION} - Marker description inserted via wysiwyg textarea

@dfelix
thank you for your description - I didn´t know that the CSS styles are inherited from my website template. So I will see that on my mainpage.
Is there any possibility to handel some POI (google kml-file) with id markers from the modul? One example
http://www.citykircheberlin.de/pages/ueber-uns/taufe.php
(click on the left small circle on the map) ...
You are finished version 1.2?
maybe,... to integrate own logo´s, images or so for the markers (that is my mainquestion
)
cheers

External google kml-files can be inserted in this module through the kml/geoRSS feature.
Although, you can't highlight them... yet.
The problem is that standard kml format does't have any unique tag or id we can use to handle them.
It could be done using placemark name... but its not reliable if you have multiple placemarks with same name or non utf8 characters...

You are finished version 1.2?
1.2 it's almost finished.
I'm going to work on it tonight, so you should get it tomorrow.
It will now be possible to define a image for each category, and override the standard georss/kml ones.
Also, you can use the google icons pallete, or pick your own from the media folder.
Show/hide categories, markers and feeds.
I just need to correct some bugs with image sizes first.

It´s cool thanks a lot
- In my case (see my example with my own imagemarker) I imported the kml-file from google map - with the param &output=kml or &output=georss at the end of the "long" url - and I lost my own images on the marker - so I hope your solution will bring me more success
http://test07.westkreuz-onlineservice.de/pages/topics/map-modul.php
- go to Berlin
and have a look at that what I want to say (the blue marker are the new one) ... please compare the result with the example in the thread before ...
So I´m waiting and give feedback to you, if I can test the new version ...
cheers

Yes...
In KML it should be able define the marker..
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<kml xmlns="
http://www.opengis.net/kml/2.2
">
<Folder>
<name>Ground Overlays</name>
<description>Examples of ground overlays</description>
<GroundOverlay>
<name>Large-scale overlay on terrain</name>
<description>Overlay shows Mount Etna erupting
on July 13th, 2001.</description>
<Icon>
<href>
http://code.google.com/apis/kml/documentation/etna.jpg
</href>
</Icon>
<LatLonBox>
<north>37.91904192681665</north>
<south>37.46543388598137</south>
<east>15.35832653742206</east>
<west>14.60128369746704</west>
<rotation>-0.1556640799496235</rotation>
</LatLonBox>
</GroundOverlay>
</Folder>
</kml>
If this is not working... then something is wrong with the kml, or the image path defined on it.
I'm creating the possibility to override the default georss marker as a option.
Only because some georss feed does not have any icon information at all.

@dfelix
,
thanks for this version. It works perfectly - but
is there any option to change the size of the images? They are really big - bigger than in the 1.1 version
I don´t know why, but you are on the right way - I can´t find any error - so it´s a cool module.
I have one desire
- the possibility of an update. The reason is very simple - if I´m using the module on any page I can´t deinstall it. So I have to delete the page - that´s really bad if you have already created an important site. I´ll say it again - thanks for sharing this great module
