Hello world,

I needed a photo gallery, nothing fancy, but with a light box and pre/next buttons in the light box. Because I couldn’t find a module for this, and no full prove solution on the forum, I added a nice light box on the image gallery module myself.

For this, I made hard coded changes on the installed image gallery module, but it would be nice if I can create an image module what can install itself. Still two problems left. The first problem is that it cannot work together with image gallery. For this I have to make sure it is going to use other database tables than image gallery is using. Because I think that it will not happen that image gallery and image gallery with light box is installed on the same CMS it won’t be such a problem. The second problem is that between <head></head> some links to JS scripts and style sheet must be inserted. Of course this can be done manually in the template, but I am sure this can also be done automatically when this module is installed via the installer.

I still haven’t found how to make this happen, so hints how, or where to find would be great.

Thank Ruud,

The site is of more interest to me than the module the links is pointing to. Lots of niece modules. Did not know about the existing of it. Even some modules I need for my project, thinking I had to read them myselve.

I looked to the image given on the module page, and the lightbox I am using is nicer (it's personel, I know). I build in: http://www.digitalia.be/software/slimbox2
This one is using nice prev/next buttons when hovering to the sites.  It is also smaller. The lightbox2 that the module is using, has 157kb of JS files, and slimbox 61kb in total.

But in the module you mentioned, I can easily replace the lightbox2 with the slibox version.

Thanks for all!
