Quote
installing the catalo mod was no problem. It runs fine until I want to upload images into the catalogue items.
Attempting to upload generates this fatal error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class database in /home/misd.nl/public_html/wb/framework/class.database.php on line 46

ditto here  and it seems to make it so no items show at all.

Am I missing something or is there no where to add a prices of buy button or anything. Perhaps the lack of these things are due to the above error code? Or is it simply not there to begin with?

I have the same problem!  sad

Hello,

Wich WB version did you use?
Did you use the latest version of the catalog modul from here?
Did you also install smarty?

I've just installed this into WB 2.62. I also installed all smarty files (decompressed of course) into the includes files of WB.
I'm receiving these errors

Warning: main(/home2/mysite/public_html/include/smarty/Smarty.class.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home2/neswabmi/public_html/modules/catalogs/view.php on line 24

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required '/home2/mysite/public_html/include/smarty/Smarty.class.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home2/mysite/public_html/modules/catalogs/view.php on line 24

Thanks in advance for your input and help.

I also receive the following error in my attempts to add images:

Code:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class database in /home/aisivid/public_html/framework/class.database.php on line 46

I found my problem, which was I had somehow created a smarty folder, with a smarty folder within it, so while it was calling the include, it wasn't in the correct place.
It's a nice mod, but I decided against it in order to have thumb nails and larger views of the different images without all the resizing work.
I ended up using the gallery mod and linking the products to my paypal cart.

Yes, would be nice to have a new working link to the smarty.zip.

Without it, there's no way to use the catalog mod. Does anyone have a working download link?

Thank you in advance.

just uploaded it to the modules section of the Add-On Repository

More info about smarty: http://smarty.php.net/

Installation: no installation routine. Create folder called smarty in /websitebaker/include/ and copy files.

btw, a little search in the forum would have brought up the download link as well ...

cheers

Thank you wizz for the tip regarding the require_once.

This is a very useful module, thanks to ruebenwurzel, teamsoft and kweitzel.

But when I try to move categories up or down or delete an element, I receive the following error:
Code:
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in
 /home/modules/catalogs/cat_move_down.php on line 55
and
/home/modules/catalogs/delete_element.php on line 60

Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Will the search engine bots (google) pick up the elements/categories generated by the module?

Also, the WB search tool does not pick up element/category pages generated by the module.

Is there a way to search through elements and categories?

Thanks.

somebody modified the search routine at one stage ... but I can't remember where it was posted. I think it was posted in relevance to a news module.

cheers

Hello,

All completed modules can be found at http://addons.websitebaker.org. There you also find a link for Smarty.

Hello,

as a wrote: completed modules are at the addons repository. The stadium of the catalogs modul is not completed, because there are a lot of issues and errors. You can test the different versions from this thread here. For testing you need smarty. this you can find at the addons repository.

Hi, I have read all the threads in this post. I have big problems to get this wanted module to work. And properly the worst is to get the links to work... Any else have problems to get the (download)links work?

Why not make a fixed download place for this module from WB?
Showing last version ofcourse....

Thanks for comments!
