First, this an oddball move, especially as relates to the permissions. I have moved a site from the host where it has been in sandbox status for some months, to a 4 gb USB stick which has Uniform Server installed. This is a WAMP implementation. The target is a laptop running Win XP SP3.

The backup and restore were successful and it took only about an hour to iron out some MySQL diffs..

My problem - and it seems small - is that the site presents with the Under construction page. I can run the admin and, indeed, the pages are not there.

What must I do to relink all of the pages?

A page in the admin backend is just the content of the MySQL table.
So I think something still went wrong with restoring your MySQL file.

If it took you an hour to iron out "some MySQL diffs", what was the problem?
I have done this many times (normally using phpMyAdmin), it never takes me more than 10 minutes.

You're probably good at it. Smiley

The MySQL user was different. The PHPMyAdmin was not completely implemented so I had to use queries to Create and Grant. Took a while to research the syntax.

I used the Backup tool in WBAdmin. I'm going to try to Export from PHPMyAdmin and then report the result.

Got it. The export from the remote host and import to the localhost using PHPMyAdmin worked. I think the query I used was not meant for MySQL.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
