Brax_HighSlide_Gall ery 1.0  smiley
Here's a new photo gallery with manual entry of individual photos and the possibility to add a description to each picture.

The starting point is the Image Gallery module 1.8RC5b Ligth box where the javascript effect was replaced by the Highslide javascript library.

This is also the possibility to run the images in sequence and are also buttons next and prev.

In settings you can choose whether to display the description or the title or the ALT tag:
  • [ALTTITLE] to show the ALT tag
  • [TITLE] to show the title of images
  • [DESCRIPTION] to show the descriptio of the images

Unlike a gallery of departure, in the administration area is present also a link to view the individual images.

You can see the module in action at the following link
http://www.paravia.net/pages/photogallery.php

@maxbrax

thx a lot for this module - i´m a highslide fan, so i´m able to use this. You see a way to make a slideshow starting about one picture (the further content will be hidden in a "hidden-box" or "hidden-container") So i´m searching for such a tool or modul wink It would be a great one  afro - Perhaps there is a way to use a video about this ... I´m dreaming, so sorry ....

Have a look here (http://www.citykircheberlin.de/pages/archiv/bilder-veranstaltungen/yana-und-marcus-spitzer.php, your module works very fine or better good - but i´ve one comment. If you are using flashcontent, such in the case of my website you have to add a param to the flash-section just like this:

Code:
s1.addParam("wmode","transparent");

This hase the effect, that the flashcontent will be in the background. In the other case without this param you will see the highslidecontent behind the flashcontent  afro In my case i hade to change the highslide.css too. In the
Code:
.controls-in-heading .highslide-controls
I changed the top-param from 23 to 28px so that i´ve a correct control panel in the header section. So all is fine ..

Enjoy your module - I do it too ...

The next step in the evolution of this module is given the opportunity to take pictures from a folder of media. As soon as possible I will get to work.  cool

in the repeating section of the settings you should remove the space between [thumb] and </a> to avoid getting an ugly underscore if your stylesheet tells to underline links

 [thumb] </a>

should be

 [thumb]</a>

I've used this gallery in a website, and it works perfectly, very nice.

One small question, though: it doesn't show the description that I type in the description box underneath the photo. And I don't see anyone else having a description underneath the photos. Should this part work? Or is it a bug maybe?

 wink What you say is right, the description does not appear if you do not insert the variable [DESCRIPTION] in the loop section of the Layout Settings.

The variable [DESCRIPTION] in fact derives from the gallery of departure (image gallery 1.7 and 1.85) which was displayed in the description below the image when zoomed.

At present I do not know if you can integrate the variable [DESCRIPTION] in addition to [ALTTITLE] and [TITLE] see her in the image box "Highslide".
 cry Unfortunately these days I can not find a solution to the problem.

Maybe some one can give me a hand.

First of all, a big THANK YOU for this module! I just tweaked a little bit in the settings section of the "highslide-with-gallery.js" to make the fading of the overlay background work a bit slower (200 ms), which gives it a smoother look. Maybe the implementation of duration settings would be something for future versions...?
But the MOST IMPORTANT thing at the moment i believe is a mass upload feature or at least a way to define a folder of images, that were uploaded by FTP.

I'm really looking forward to this feature!!

Thank you!

Cheers,
Michael

@maxbrax

you are able to create some other modules for highslide? I´m looking at this time for a module to create a mini gallery behind one image just like here: www.citykircheberli n.de - There in the left div called "Aktuelle Hinweise" you will see the result. - At this time I realized this with a code2-section - a module would be better to handle - for the future ...

and under "Hauskreise" - (have a look at the menue - point "Bereiche") you will find a "citymap of berlin" with some links (realized with highslide + ajax over a hidden page with hidden div´s). In my opinion it´s a cool thing - maybe you have an idea to realize this with a module ...

thank´s for your time to read this

Hi there!

For Descriptions ("Beschreibung") beneath Images in Highslide Gallery:

In "Loop" (german, "Schleife") After:

Quote
[THUMB] </a> <div class="highslide-heading"> [TITLE] </div>

put this
Quote
<div class="highslide-caption">[DESCRIPTION]</div>

So Highslide gets to know, that there is a Caption of the Image.
Hope this helps!
greetings

Mike

ps: i put german keywords in this post, so it will be found too Wink

Very awesome! Probably my favorite WB gallery available.... but have a question.

In the settings, there is a full size link option to open same window, no link or in new window.  I have it enabled, but the pop link in the lightbox is still greyed out.  How do I enable full view?

thanks

Hi Stuggi,

do you want to realize it in this way just like at our website:

http://www.citykircheberlin.de/pages/posts/tag-01---die-anreise-...32.php?p=20

Please wait until the browser is really ready ....  smiley It´s important - 60 images ...

It´s a droplet (using highslide ... it´s a cool  grin) - so you will get all images from one folder ... I think you want exactly that. In this way I could help. Which version of WB you are using, because there is a small but important different in using of droplets. Let me know if I can help - maybe a PM  wink

regards

Hi dbs,

I know, but that´s this version of highslidedroplet. The other droplets are quicker than this but not so nice  grin. The second - fullsize: that´s not a bug that´s highslide (maybe a feature   wink)

Hello everyone here is the revised version of the gallery Brax_HighSlide_Gall ery  called   Brax_HighSlide_Gall ery_B
can now specify the folder where the modiule going to read the images without having to specify each time the image you upload into the gallery.

Attention because, at moment,  in this case it is not possible to specify description and images.

A tip for getting a good  pagination is to use images all the same size.

Remains to refine the layout defined in fronted.css

Pleas Test the form and let me know.

Regards Massimo

yes it is possible, smiley
the size of the thumb are defined by the function imagejpeg () in the file class.gd.php at line 107
                               imagejpeg($image_s, $this->new_file, 100);
replace with this  line
                               imagejpeg($image_s, $this->new_file, 93);

if you change the value 100 with a value between 80 and 93 the image is of good quality but small size.
For example by setting the value at 93  instead  100 the size in KB reduce approximately 55% . wink

Hi

I'm also looking for the answer to this one. The images I'm using need to be kept at the original quality, but both the thumbnails and the popup versions have lots of jgp compression on them.

It would be great if there was a solution to this.

Thanks also
