Hi,

I use the Random Image module by calling RandomImage(MEDIA_DIRECTORY .'/images/home-pics'); in a template. I use this tempalte on only one page. The page load very slowly - about 1min. The pictures are all small (<20kB). All other pages are normal.

 huh
Thanks
Yi

I think it depends on 2 things:

1) The amount of images which have to be read
2) The Server environment

See what happens if you have only very few images for the random image function. If this doesn't make things faster, try to find out where on the server the bottleneck lies (hdd subsystem maybe or even lot's of other webs on a shared system)

cheers
