Mass User Rights Admin

I searched for a mass user rights admin module, but I couldn't find it. Is that right? I think WB should have such a function. What I mean is that you would be able to assign admin rights for a particular group to relevant pages without the need for opening the settings for each individual page.

That's right. You can't do this in WB 2.7.
If you want to change user rights of a whole group or pages, you've got to use phpmyadmin or something else.
WB 3.0 will have this feature because it's been asked here serveral times.

Still not there...
Is this really so hard to create for some decent coder?

What is the spec?
Is it for page access, or for user levels etc

Primarily the same as you do now for each page individually in the page settings, so that's page access I guess.
When you have to add a user group to an existing site, you have to enter the access rights for the new group on each page individually. That's quite an annoying and time consuming job if it's a big site.

Maybe you can realize it by a small admin-tool for the WB2.8.x-series but it will be a crutch only and makes all a bit opaque(setting rights for the same thing from different screens).
The new, planed pages from WB2.9 will support an inheritance flag. If it's acivated, so any change done at a page (like language, visibility, rights, s.o.) will be set to all its children and child childs also. A new page will inherit all from its parent. This is easy to handle and transparent for admins.

Apart from the fact that 2.9 is still a long way from availability, I don't think inheritance has anything to do with it.
Scenario: on a website a new group has been added via the admin > Groups. This group has certain rights on certain or all pages. Right now you have to go to each individual page, open Page Settings, and check the checkbox for the rights on that page. Then go back to the Page List, open Page Settings for another page, set checkboxes, go back, etc.
This should be easier. In its most minimalistic form I think about a tree of all pages, a checkbox with each page, and two menus to choose the settings for Admins and Visitors. So you first choose the setting you want to set for a number of pages, then check the checkbox for all relevant pages, and then press Submit. Done.
It would be nice to have an overview of the current settings as well, but we don't have that now either, so that's not so important.

@Argos,
I see your point
Am using phpmyadmin for this
steps
1 correct settings to a page, remember its id
2 fire up phpmyadmin (or simular tool)
3 choose page from 1
4 copy viewing_groups or viewing_users or even admin_groups or admin_users (whatever suits you) and copy that content
5 paste the copied stuff to other pages
There can be made a litle admin tool for this,
flow I can think of
- show all pages, select one page to copy settings from
- show all pages (without the one being copied from)
- multiselect pages to copy settings to.
Wouldn't be that hard.

Correction: do not copythe chosen page with settings to all pages, but to à selection of pages, otherwise you Will end up having to manually go by all pages with different settings

Back to the root. For all feature option, pls create a ticket. It's easier for us to hold the overview.
