Hi, I am not sure where I have gone wrong here. My stmp is correct but nothing came through when I sent the form via WB. When I pressed "SUBMIT FORM" there was no error message. It appeared as if it went through except the Success page did not point to the page I specified. It returns to the same page except with no contents. I have never come across this before and dont even know where to start checking. Anyone know where I have gone wrong and how to rectify it? Thanks.

I looked through the forum for all possible reasons why the form is not working but I still couldnt find the answer. I deleted the form module and ftp. Still produce no result. The form appeared to go through except it's not showing the Success Page. No mail in the admin and no error message. Where have the email gone? I tried PHP mail and nothing cam through. Any hlep apprecitaed. I have nver come across this problem before and it's puzzling. Is there somehting I got to do on the config.php file?

I suspect it is more server config related ... check the errorlogs, speak to the admin if those functions are allowed ...

cheers

hard to say without knowing the error ... maybe it will be easier for you to ask the admin or the person who configured the server ...

cheers

Guess what I found out, Klaus? This is the most strangest things I ever experienced with WB. Maybe someone had the same problem could advise or help someone who is encontering the same problem. It was the template!! How could the template stopped email from going through? Foe the sake of testing, I changed the template to one of WB default template and the email went through! How weird. I changed back the template and the email didnt go through. What could be stopping it? Anyone got an idea? I

It is hard to find a reason for this without knowing which templates you used. Wink

Hi, I am using my own template. I am going through my template to see if there is any clue. While I am at it, I would appreciate anyone reading this post to keep sending in suggestions. I will post here whatever I find and hopefully the real issue behind it.

Hi, this was what I discovered and would like to share with the community. Appreciate if someone could explain the reason. I stripped down my template. I started with the default blank template.  You can imagine, it took me several hours! I added each element and tested the form. Everything went fine until I came to the 'javascript print'. That was causing the email not to sent through. No error message and no emails.  After deleting the javascript and the css for print, the form works!
Very, very strange.

Now, I have another problem. The form went through all right except they are not landing in my Inbox. They are all sitting under "Submission' in the form page! When I used SMTP, no email come through. When I used PHP mail, 2 emails came through. One with an error message with the server address . I am tearing my hair out here. Anyone can shade some light here?

I guess nobody answers because nobody knows anything about your hosting environment. Please do speak to your systemadministrator .

Hi Klaus, It's linux and support smtp. I am not sure what else I need to know or what to ask the system administrator to get the form working.

I spent the last few days and many hours trying to resolve the email issue. I gave up! Put together a php email form and linked with the wb menu. Shame that its not part of wb but it works perfectly.

Have you asked for the errorlogs by now? The http-server errorlogs are the minimum you should look at. If you ask your Admin, explain him the situation. You has access to the errorlogs to check. You might need to give him a date/time when this happens.
Otherwise, I am afraid, your calles for help do not contain enough information for any troubleshooting by us.

cheers
