I am so sorry:
Quote
Table 'test3sql1.wb_mod_ad _Baker_categories' doesn't exist

I am not able to edit categories though categories are shown in the frontend and the table exist ( looked with phpmayadmin)

What is wrong?

But besides this the module is working.

Hi,

I edited my post before, so I am not sure if you saw these questions:

Quote
Also few more question: how paginations works ? I saw Next and Prev links in file but couldt find settings for that ?

I would like to have wysiwyg editor for Ad description, is it possible from next release ?

Also, is it possible to make that admin can add more fields (required and not required) in backend?

And for styling: to set in backend the number of columns for main category list for frontend, and number of columns for list of ads on ads page ?

Is there a way to make a field in settings page for max number of adds per user ?

cheers

All those can be done.  But perhaps not for first full release.

What kind of settings do you want ot see for pagination?  I really do not understand that question.

See the 'Ads per page' setting in the backend.  By default it is set to 10.

I have added a poll to this thread to try and get a handle on how many poeple want or need a 2.7 version of this module.  There really isn't much too change most of the diffence some with having to supprt admin themes in 2.8 and the eventualy inclusion/use of some jquery built into 2.8 to fanct things up a bit.

i don't mid the extra work to build and maintane both I just don't want to spend the time only to have almost no-one use it.

Hopefuly soon, it has taken tlonger than I had planned (I accidentaly deleted everything).

I am workign to get ad expiry working and am making changes to how the approval process works.  Right now even if you change the settings to force approval ebfore an ad i posted a user can simply go to the 'may ads' page and activate it themselves.

I also just realised last night the I have not made use of the upgrade.php file like I should be.  I would like to have sort that out before the next realse.  I any event the next realse will be RC1 for version 1.0 and no additions will be made once it is released.  Only bug fixes.

 Hey mahalleday,
Awesome module.  You made my day!  I've been fixing bugs as I find them.

If you haven't already got the category #ing working, i got it working with 4 lines added to fe_cat_list.  Here's the changed "while" loop...

   while ($cats = $cat_query->fetchRow()) {
        if ($column and !($column % $columns)) {
            echo '</tr><tr>';
        }
        $adquery = mysql_query('SELECT cat_id FROM '.TABLE_PREFIX.'mod_ad_baker_ads WHERE cat_id = '.$cats['cat_id'].' AND active =1');
        $adcount = mysql_num_rows($adquery);

        echo '<td><ul><li><a href="'.$_SERVER['PHP_SELF'].'?cat_id='.$cats['cat_id'].'">'.$cats['cat_title'].' ('.$adcount.')</a>';
        $sub_sql = 'SELECT * FROM '.TABLE_PREFIX.'mod_ad_baker_subcat egories WHERE cat_id = '.$cats['cat_id'].' AND active =1 ORDER BY subcat_title DESC';
        $sub_query = $database->query($sub_sql) OR die(mysql_error());
        echo '<ul>';

        while($subs = $sub_query->fetchRow()) {
            $adquery = mysql_query('SELECT subcat_id FROM '.TABLE_PREFIX.'mod_ad_baker_ads WHERE subcat_id = '.$subs['subcat_id'].' AND active =1');
            $adcount = mysql_num_rows($adquery);
            echo '<li><a href="'.$_SERVER['PHP_SELF'].'?cat_id='.$cats['cat_id'].'&subcat_id='.$subs['subcat_id'].'">'.$subs['subcat_title'].' ('.$adcount.')</a></li>     ';
        }
        echo '</ul></li></ul></td>';
        $column++;
    }

I'll post a couple more of the fixes I've made shortly.

As promised, here's another one...

Admin folder pointers should be dynamic in case it's changed. Here's how...

Add the following line to the top of abFunctions.php...
define('ADMIN_FOLDER', str_replace(WB_PATH, '', ADMIN_PATH));

Then do a find/replace text on all adbaker files...

FIND: '.WB_URL.'/admin
REPLACE WITH: '.ADMIN_FOLDER.'
(34 instances)

FIND: '. WB_URL .'/admin
REPLACE WITH: '.ADMIN_FOLDER.'
(9 instances)

That's it!

Lance

(Tip: I actually added the "define" line to my config.php after the define('ADMIN_PATH'... because there are other modules I've had to do this with.  Hopefully the next release of WB will include this in the config.php as it makes folder name changes easier (even better is if someone has the time to throw together a backend page to change the admin folder so we don't have to hack the code))

If you're getting this error:
"Table 'xxxx.mod_ad_Baker_c ategories' doesn't exist" (or currencies or subcategories table)

The problem is the capital "B" in "SELECT * FROM ".TABLE_PREFIX."mod_ad_Baker_
There are 7 instances of this in 3 of the 'include' files. (be.cat, be.cur, be.subcat)

Just do a case-sensitive text find/replace on those include files
Find: mod_ad_Baker
Replace with: mod_ad_baker

This would not affect servers that are not setup to be case sensitive to sql queries but it should be fixed in the next release.

Cheers!

Lance

Thanks for the comments and advice.  The # in cats thing is done and the missingt tabel thing is fixed as well.  it has taken some time to release an update as i am tweaking and adding a few thing to make everything work better.

I have a dynamic list for subcategories,  you are now prevented from delete cats subcats and crrs if there is an add useing any of them.

I have also made changes to how images are handled and you can now set the image sizes you want in the backend.  I'll post new stuff asap.

Cool!  I've been fast-tracking adbaker to a bug-free state on my site as I need to get a classified system online asap.  I've done a fair bit of customizing to the front and back ends.  Any chance you'll get the next update out as an actual update to 4.0a? That'll save me redoing everything I've accomplished and trying to merge files...

Otherwise, if you need help, let me know.  I just got on board with WB and I love writing PHP.
I'm happy if I can give back to the cause, especially if it's inline with my own directions.

Is the duration field working yet?  I can give you some code to drop in for that if you haven't got to it yet.

I'm going to be working on turning the contactlist module into a full blow business directory / yellow pages.  So if someone's already started something like that perhaps we can join forces.  cool

PS: Not to be picky but there's a typo visible on the front end.  (the word feild should be spelled field in cm_make_ad).

Cheers!  cool

I was going to start with contactlist module for kind a yellow pages project, but the progress stoped as I couldnt find right module to start until this one appeared Smiley And I couldnt use contactlist as it use range(A-Z) for letters..and my alphabet has more letters than english does.. Smiley

I like this feature with categories, so I will use it as start point, and with my limited coding skills I hope I will make it work Smiley so i am also looking forward for the next release Smiley

all best,
ivan

The duration thing is the last thing i need to get working.  if you can add that send me the code and I'll just drop it in the main source.

there's a couple calls to adbaker.php but should be calls to classifieds.php

..\modules\AdBaker\abFunctions.php (2 hits)
    Line 192: header('Location: '.WB_URL.'/pages/adbaker.php?section=userAds&user_id='.$user_id);
    Line 235: header('Location: '.WB_URL.'/pages/adbaker.php?section=userAds&user_id='.$user_id);

..\modules\AdBaker\scripts\sc.delete_ad.php (1 hits)
    Line 46: header('Location:'.WB_URL.'/pages/adbaker.php?section=userAds&user_id='.$user_id);

The requested URL /pages/adbaker.php was not found on this server.

Found that and its fixed.  See the main post for AdBaker_RC1 first full release candidate.  One feature to finish off and still need to complete the english language file.

Cool! I didn't see the RC.  I've installed the RC and am now working through it.  A few things popping up.  I'll post a list shortly.

I'm working on the ad duration changes.
