Ok can someone tell me if a module exists to do this and if not if anyone feels up to the chanllange of developing this as I think it would be a great useful addition to website baker admin

Basically what i envisage is an easier way to organise pages in the pages section of the admin.
say you have 3 menus on your site such as services, packages and the main menu, in the pages section i like to group the pages together ratehr than them just being listed in the order they were added. This can be quite an effort to use the arrow buttons each time to move a page ALLLLLL the way up the list. What i would like to see is a way of creating the menu headings on this page, just for viewing in admin and when i create a page be able to add it to the headin group. Its similiar to the create a parent page function but that does not work as it affects the menus on my site adding pages to the parent. I may be being daft but is there an easy way to do this?

Also its such hard work reordering pages when you have loads is there no way that a numbering sysyem could be added to reorder more quickly?

Any ideas anyone?

Hi,

I guess you are not using the jsadmin module with the available AJAX drag and drop features..
Maybe you have it disabled. Go to the admin tools and enable the use of ajax to reorder.
That way you can reorder pages using drag and drop.

About the menus I can;t really say. There are a lot of addons that show menus differently bt maybe you are asking for a way to dynamically create menus that have some of the pages without really reordering them.

That would be a nice idea. A menu manager with the abillity to show or hide pages, include pages from different levels and is available to show with a show_menu function.
