Nope.

That's not the last version.
And it's not your fault  grin
It looks like I 've updated the version number but I zipped the wrong files.

Please redownload and sorry for the inconvinience.

No problem Dirk, this is a developer forum.
As I said you are using the wrong version.
The version number is right, but the files in it are wrong because I forgot to put them
in it.

So unless you make a view source on your testpage and see at the bottom lines the words
" resize: 'lenght' " the version you are using is still wrong.

So please redownload if you have not done so.

Regards,
Lazaros

At first: Thanks for working on this Modul. I´ve installed the new version (0.4).
But it seems that the new options (pan and zoom) dosen´t work. (set to KenBurns)

I´ve tried it with big and small values, with 0 and -1 ... with resize true and false...with different galleries. - almost the same.

Quote
It looks that this gallery is not supposed to resize pictures in some effects but rather to pan and zoom so it shows the whole image by parts. If you take out the zoom and pan effect it resizes the image right only when is landscape.

Do you have a test page I can look into?
My tests show that it works fine when the kenburns option is used regardless of the resize option.

I 've put values zoom 25, pan 15.
You can try to remove them completely and see what happens as well (clear the values and leave blank).

Your Images are too small. I can see the zoom and pan effect though.

But there is a reaction.

For example when you choose zoom: 15 it means that when the image is shown it will start at 15% zoom and zoom out to 100%. ( I think that is based on the slideshow 2documentation ).

New version!!!

I added exif support!!!
You can now enable use of the exif data title, subject and comments to be used as descriptions on directories and images.

Using the Properties of each image file on WinXP you can set those values on the Summary tab.
It will use the "Title" exif as caption on images and the "Subject" and "Comments"  tag of the directory thumb picture as Title and description for the directory!!!

I will also add support for keyword searching based on these keywords...

Enjoy:)

        pan: [100, 100],
        zoom: [0, 0]
    },

i´ve changed settings in the kenburns_javascript; now it works fine

Changelog: 0.5

I 've added search capabilities based on exif and filename data.

You now have the option to show a search form or not, to define search limit, and to search all exif data keywords, titles and filenames.

The results are displayed in a single slideshow gallery.
You have to go to the panel and press the Update keywords button to update all file data in the database if you add or remove files.

You will also have to reinstall the gallery because it must create a new table in the database (or run the included install.php file yourself).

Please test.

Changelog 0.6:

- I 've just corrected some layout problems with the Description.
- I ve changed the Description field to longer text (you must run the install script to alter the db).
- Added options for language customizations on the search form.

If anyone could help me test it thoroughly...

hi LS,

it'S a REAL nice gallerie - this one and the upcomming foldergallery chould be the WebsiteBaker "next generation"- standard galleries!!!   cool

if testing on XAMP with wb 2.7 and the 0.6 slideshow...

this message if got from the search:
Code:
Warning: reset() [function.reset]: Passed variable is not an array or object in C:\XAMPP\htdocs\modules\slideshow2gal\view.php on line 25

only in the cathegories overfew... not in the slideshow view

EDIT:
additional the search button and text is hardcoded... you can use the WB variables for these texts like
Code:
$TEXT['SEARCH']

regards martin

keep on running this perfect piece of code!

Thanks for testing and all the kind commends.

I really thought that this kind of gallery was missing from baker.
That is why I bothered the first place.

There are a lot of things to be done, but Now it reached a stage that it is working.
I will check on the error. There are also Notices to be fixed.
This gallery took longer code than I expected after all.

I could try to convert everything from tables to layers...
I could also add iptc data support.
Or maybe create a layout template in .tpl so users can customize everything.

The search is in the language file (last lines)...
(At list I 've put it there today).

Ok maverick I will check and test again but I ut like to ask you.
Are you sure you configured the gallery after reinstalling?

Did you go to the baker configuration to edit tha settings , define a directory
from the media and save?

Thank you

I made some corrections for more of some notices and corected the default values when you first add the gallery to a page. You have to configure it, otherwise it wont run.

Maverick could it be something permissions related?
It should produce some error...

Or I am guessing something with the exif_read_data functions..
I made numerous tests on 2.7, and it looks working on Redhat fedora core 6.
Xamp shows its working there too, on windows.

Please try again and say if you found anything.

Thanks again.

Dear Maverick,

0.4 version works as expected. You have to have at least one image per directory so the directory to show.

You should configure the gallery to folder /media/slide2gal/2008.

It looks that 0.7 version finds no file for some reason.
If you have E_ALL error reporting and we get no error then the file indexing function do not work right.

The wierd thing is that it stops outputing at the middle of the search form so somewhere around there the code dies and should produce an error, but it doesn'nt.

Let me make some changes and see if I can try to put in some error messages so you can try a debug version.

Dear Maverik,

Please configure gallery to use folder /media/slideshow2gal/2006 or /media/slideshow2gal/2008
use the included view.php file and replace the one you have so I can debug output.

(replace the /modules/slideshow2gal/view.php with the attached one.
