Hi,
I did some changes in the calendar modul and removed PHP warnings. It's not a official version of the module, just some improvements which works for me. Perhaps somebody else want to have an update of the module and can do some testing too.
Requirements: WB 2.7
Changes in v1.0.3 --------------------- Backend: - use of WYSIWYG for date description - date and time are be picked form java script calendar popup (comes with WB) - data of an existing date can be copied to a new entry (save as new) - all necessary fields have default data - if no enddate is entered, then autom. duration is set to one day
Frontend - dates with duration of more than one day are marked in the calendar - list of dates in day-view or month-view - weekdays are displayed in first row (instead of first column) - if no time is available a corresponding text will be displayed - changed layout a little bit
There is still room for improvements, e.g. seperate CSS files, make code valid.....
cheers Uthred

Hi, I'm not sure how to proceed with this calendar module. I did some further work/re-work on the module and I want to release it to the community. In the meantime there is a Calendar Module v2.0 from another developer which is great of course, but there is now the same module in parallel development. I renamed the module with my changes to the innovative name "MyCalendar" see Demo at Demo PageBut I'm not sure if this is the right way. Has anyone a good idea to solve this conflict smoothly without confusing the WB users? BR Uthred

I just took a look at the demo and I think it is a great module. I will make a test in the next days.
One hint. You have the calendar diplayed in the left area, below the menu. For the current mont. Would be cool, if the current date could have a unique color, so one will see at the first glance "where he is".
The Name is nice though.
Kind Regards, Stefek

Hi mr-fan,
Please try this, if not already done:
do JsCalendar BugFix * in language file (WB_PATH\include\jscalendar\lang\..) add line "Calendar._FD = 1;" if it is not there.

To MyCalendar developers:
Can you advise how to alter the presentation so that days are:
Su Mo Tu We Th Fr Sa
In other words the American style.
Not a developer.

How can I enter events in the MyCalendar module? There are no fields available at the bottom in the admin interface (see attached screenshot). I am using WB 2.7.

I found in testing WB 2.8 compatibility with a calendar mod I'm developing that there is a <div> that needs to be added for the calendar to appear "styled". For this module, add the following line of code to line 895 of the functions.php file: <div class="jsadmin jcalendar hide"></div> This worked in my test. Nick

Hi Martin, I don't see this as being a change for the core, but something that module developers need to be aware of when coding for WB 2.8, if they want to use the jscalendar. In the module I'm developing, this line of code doesn't seem to negatively affect WB 2.7, but is required for 2.8. Interestingly, as I was typing this, I ran a diff on the WB_PATH\include\jscalendar\wb-setup.php and on line 38 of the WB 2.8 file the following line is commented out: <!--<style type="text/css">--> <?php // require_once(WB_PATH.'/include/jscalendar/calendar-system.css'); ?> <!--</style> --> This would be the reason that the calendar is not styled properly in 2.8. Is this cause for a ticket? Thanks, Nick EDIT: Just tried removing the comment tags from the style tags, and also the comment slashes from the php and without the <div> code in place, the jscalendar works as expected in WB 2.8. This should be corrected in the jscalendar\wb-setup.php file. I'll post a ticket and see if there was a reason for this code being commented out. I can't seem to see one. Nick

helllo SourDough, thanks for your reply. in what file do you add div class="jsadmin jcalendar hide"></div> (that doesn't seem to make sense in my version of mycalendar/functions.php because in line 895 is an opening <tr> tag, so the div would be located in between </tr> and <tr> . regards herr rilke

Hello,
the calendar_system.css is included in the footer of the backend themes. The calendar works as aspected in WB 2.8 on every place where it is in use.
So not shure why it is not working on your system. Did you try the RC2 or the latest version from SVN or wit wich version did your work?

Hi herr rilke, I'm using version 1.0.4 from the third post of this thread. What you want to look for though is the ShowActionEditor function in the functions.php file (should be the last function). Once you find that, scroll down ~80 lines and find this code: <div class="action_details"> <form name="editcalendar" action="<?php echo WB_URL; ?>/modules/calendar/save.php" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data"> <input type="hidden" name="cal_id" value="<?php echo $cal_id; ?>"> <input type="hidden" name="page_id" value="<?php echo $page_id; ?>"> <input type="hidden" name="section_id" value="<?php echo $section_id; ?>"> <input type="hidden" name="owner" value="<?php echo $owner; ?>">
<table cellpadding="2" cellspacing="0" border="0" width="600"> <tr> Insert the div code I provided before the <table .....> tag. Hope this helps. Nick

This was tested on WB 2.8 RC2, but the code regarding this issue is the same in RC1. I can confirm that the browser is seeing and including the calendar_system.css IF you include the div code. However, if the div code isn't included in the module then the jscalendar won't be styled. Try taking out line 57 from the news module's modify_post.php fileand see what happens. Nick
