Hi, I have an entrance page but I do not want my page to show with the rest of the links on my menu. How can I hide the link without making it invisible to the public. Hope I am making sense here.

There are probably several things you could do. One option is to define two menus in your info.php. The only thing in menu structure #1 would be your home page. The menu call in your template would then call menu structure #2 which is every other page on your menu. You simply add a second menu to your template info.php and then modify your template menu call to display menu structure #2.
