Need help with news/posts

Hello,

The website I'm working on needs following features:

1. Display latest news on front page
2. Have separate "news page", which displays a list of all news in left side and current (opened) news in right side of the content area.

I managed to resolve the first one using Anynews, but how should I deal with the second? It seems that opening a news link opens up the news, but on separate post page. How would it be possible to have news listed while one news is opened?

The Newsmodule is not designed to do that. You would need to manually change the output of the file view.php in the module. Or you change the anynews snippet and extend it to pull the headline, longnews and then you a JS accordeon to toggle the visibility.
