just  changed and I got this error:

Code:
Failed to Connect

The connection was refused when attempting to contact 95.155.17.249:4001.

I also changed setting in the config file:

Code:
define('WB_ADMIN_FOLDER','/admin');
define('WB_PATH', dirname(__FILE__));
define('WB_URL', 'http://'.$_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'].':4001/wbdemo/');
define('ADMIN_PATH', WB_PATH.WB_ADMIN_FOLDER);
define('ADMIN_URL', WB_URL.WB_ADMIN_FOLDER);

any advice ?

Hi,

just  changed and I got this error:

what have you changed?
Have you restartet the program?
Do you get this error on the same computer as WebsiteBaker portable is running or on another computer?
Is any sort of firewall running (including windows firewall)?

regards
Michael

I changed
Code:
HostName=127.0.0.1 TO  HostName=77.222.13.77
in the pms_config.ini

Turned off all Firewall
Started again server
..

In portable FF i god this error: The connection was refused when attempting to contact 77.222.13.77:4001.

The error is on same computer where Portable WB is running, unfortunately i dont have another one to test it Sad

BTW, is .htaccess allowed on WB portable ?
I've been trying some rewriteing codes, and no luck so far..

Does anyone have more experience with this ? I found some code:
Code:
RewriteEngine On
RedirectMatch permanent ^/wbdemo/pages$ http://127.0.0.1:4001
Code:
RewriteEngine On
Redirect /wbdemo http://127.0.0.1:4001
but it doesnt work..

cheers

Hi all,

I've been checking around solution for the question how to move pages folder to root , and so far no luck.. I am thinking maybe the WB Portable can not do this.. However, after reviewing lot of coments and tutorials, the code which shuld rewrite the url should look like this:

Code:
rewriteEngine On
rewriteRule ^pages/(.*)$ $1 [L,R=301]

But unfortunately it is not working.. What am I doing is to rewrite this url:
Code:
http://127.0.0.1:4001/wbdemo//pages/news-modul.php
to this:
Code:
http://127.0.0.1:4001/news-modul.php

Can some coder pls point in the right direction ? I put .htaccess file in wbdemo folder..

Cheers

@mr-fan: do you already have a timeframe when WB Portable 2.8 will be ready?

Hi,

You can set your own 2.8 on same server.

ere is what you have to do:

1. Make Data Base for new site:

Open http://127.0.0.1:4001 in your browser
Open phpmyadmin in right sidebar
Create new database for example: wb2   and hit Go

2. Upload 2.8 files

Open K:\WebsiteBaker Portable1_2\htdocs  (K is my drive letter when you plug in flash drive)
Create new folder, for example: wb2
Copy 2.8 files in it if you extract the files from the zipp package, you will have some readme files there and WB files are in one sub folder, so move the WB files form wb2\

3. Install

Upon file moved, open http://127.0.0.1:4001/wb2 in our case, and install page will appear.
Note that in the Title filed there is parameter: http://127.0.0.1 without port :4001 , so you must add it manualy
Put database name: wb2   username: root  password:     (no password)

You can use this server for all your sites for preview, like I do  grin

happy baking
