@ruebenwurzel:
indeed the admin.php was gone. Don't know how this happened.
Trying the gallery module adding picture. It gives the following error messages

then wb goes on and says everything is ok, but only text is shown and no images.

The same kind of problem i have when i try to add pages (3rd level)

I don't have any php-knowledge so it is difficult to find the solution on my own. I hope you can help

Where can I change "Previous", "Next" and "Return" to my language Smiley

Hello,

what Version of WB did you use?
what Version of gallery did you use?

If you use WB 2.5.2 and gallerymodul 1.6.1 all should work. The translations are from the WB-language-file. Are you shure you have installed the language file for WB 2.5.x?

Hope this helps  wink

I use Gallery 1.6.1
Download from http://www.familie-gallas.de/media/File/gallery.zip
(Download that today)

I use 2.5.2 WB (Download that yesterday)

The language file is for 2.3.x (Swedish and that works good)
The language file is maybe too old Smiley

Very strange that is no <IMG tag for the picture

1. Language file
From WB 2.3 to WB 2.5 there are a lot of changes in the language file.
Edit:
A swedish language File for WB 2.5.x you can download here. Its only 50% translated and based on the translation for WB 2.3.x. The not translated lines are signed with //please translate. Download, unzip and install. wink And if you have time, translate the rest and post the languagefile in "Translations"

2. Gallery
Never heard this error. Hope it has nothing to do with the wrong translation. Please set your WB completly back to English and then try the gallery again. If it works it has to do with missing words in your languagefile. If not  smiley smiley  smiley

And another little modifying of the gallery modul

New Version 1.6.2

Whats new:
changed images per page now as a fill in

How to update:
There are no changes in the tables. So you only have to download and unzip the new modify_settings.php and copy this file to /modules/gallery in your WB-Folder.

Have fun  smiley

i like the wee updates that you've made to the gallery, very nice.. however im STILL getting the problem with nothing showing up Sad

all the folders create etc and i can even ADD images a thumbs no problem but the gallery folder does not appear in the media section nor do my images appear on the site Sad I'm sure its do to with the ".gallery" folder using the period before it. When i modify the .php files and take out the period it all works fine, very strange.. im using Windows XP MCE2005 with IIS 5.1 if that helps.. also does the same with normal XP and server 2003.

Not to thread-jack, but I'm a little confused about the thumbnail-ing capabilities of the Gallery Module.  I've installed Gallery 1.6.2 on WB 2.5.2.  I've added pictures to a gallery, but there are no thumbnails; the pictures are full size.

Am I missing something?

@ ruebenwurzel, is it possible to have the next option added when you can find the time?  wink

A possibility to have the large image linked to an url so that when you click on it you can:

1. open a new page/brwoser to another page/site.

2. open a new page withing your own wb-site.

This I aske because of someone when has a wb site and sells items and wants to use your gallery as a sort of shop.....

 cheesy sorry for the confusion.

She already has a (web)shop and a website, on her website she wants to show some of her (best)items she sells and when clicking on the large image she wants to send the visitor to her webshop.

Hello,

you can order your pictures in admin inrterface. Only hit the move_up or the move_down icons from the pictures.

I know this is ok when you only have a few pics. If you have many pics you have no fun to put the last one to the first place.  grin

Here is the trick  wink . Edit line 86 and 237 from modules/gallery/view.php and line 46 from modules/gallery/modify.php. Replace
Code:
ORDER BY position ASC
with
Code:
ORDER BY position DESC

Should work

Have fun

you can change in settings
<a href="[LINK]">
to
<a href="[LINK]" target="_blank">

This will make the page load in to a new window but it will include everything. I assume you want just the photo. To do this you will need to edit your view.php to change [LINK] to url of large image.

@ Matthias,

nice job!

Can I easely adjust the pop-up posibility so that it links to another page and opens in a new browser instead of opening the image in a new window?

Hello i2Paq,

Look at line 278 - 291 from view.php and do the changes you want.

But i think in another way, maybe orbiteleven could do this  wink  wink  wink as an option for the next release

Add in admin interface the ability how original pic should be shown (not shown, in new browser window, in a popup window)

Yeah, I thought of doing that.  "As time permits", so they say.  Shouldn't be too hard.

I was also thinking of adding a field for the "full size" picture size so that you could define the pic size for all three images saved.

Version 1.7 of Image gallery modul released

you can download it at completed modules.

Quote
v1.7  December 28, 2005
 - Added new multilanguage support
 - Layout changes in admin interface

Attention:
  • This modul is designed for WB 2.6.1. It is not recommanded to use this for WB 2.5.x or less.
  • This modul includes the languages EN and DE. You can add your own language in the languages dir of the modul.

How to update:
  • Copy all files to modules/gallery, overwrite the existing ones. If you uptdate from version 1.6.3 you have nothing else to do.
  • If you update from a earlier version as 1.6.3 run once the update script /modules/gallery/update_gallery.php.

Have fun
