New Version of Gallery

Would it be possible to ad an option to inlude alt text for the images in the gallery? at the moment i think im right in saying the only option is to do this via the wysiwyg editer. cheers.

I have seen the report on a problem I also have. Adding a photo results in only the description. There is no thumbnail shown.

Is there allready a solution for?

I use version 2.6.1 and gallery 1.7.

I hope there is a solution for.

download link for what is bad? In the worst case, try mit site [Edit: old link removed] there is a download section with lots of WB Modules (collected from this forum) ... I don't say it is complete, but as complete as possible.

Not to thread-jack, but I'm a little confused about the thumbnail-ing capabilities of the Gallery Module.  I've installed Gallery 1.6.2 on WB 2.5.2.  I've added pictures to a gallery, but there are no thumbnails; the pictures are full size. 

Am I missing something?

I am having the same problem as well. I have jpegs from my work computer that I add using the Browse button on the gallery module (latest build, 1.7, WB 2.6.1). Once they are added, I get a full-size picture instead of a thumbnail, and I've tried several pictures of varying sizes.

I've read through the thread and I don't see any other process. What is my malfunction?

Hmmm,

Gallery needs gd support. But there are a lot of gd versions. Maybe your version is not supported. Can you look wich gd version work on your server. Look with phpinfo, should be a result like this

I can't do a proper download of the Image Gallery 1.7 module, I receive a CRC error when unzipping the module. I can install the module, but get a parse error when creating a new gallery page. I have tried several downloads and unzipping tools, but it seems to be an error inside the module file.

don't know what happens, done no changes since i uploaded the modul, but now as you post the zip File seems to be broken.

Reuploaded the modul in completed modules, download should now work again.

Hi Guys,

It's my first post on forum.

First. Congratulations for WB Creators. It's amizing and very simple.

My question is about Image Gallery Module. The thumbs and view not work. The thumb is not showed and when i click on link, the image not appear too. The configs are identical on Windows and Linux, but on Windows not works.

PS.:Sorry for my badly english. I'm brazlian. 

I try WB + Image Module on my Gentoo Linux, and works fine (MySQL 5.1 + Apache2 + mod_php)
But on Windows Server (Windows 2000 + PHP 5.1.2 Package + MySQL 5.1 + IIS) not works.

On both installations i have GD Libraries loaded. (php_gd2.dll/so,php_mbstring.dll/so,php_exif.dll/so)

On your windows install, does WB load?  I had to switch the store method of mySQL to Isam instead of the default InnoDB.  Are you sure your permissions are correct?  I had some trouble giving permission only to IUSER(sp?).  Try adding permissions for NETWORK and NETWORK_SERVICE.

Also, what version of PHP do you have on Gentoo?  I found a lot of modules that were not php 5 compatible when I first installed on Windows.  My solution: install php 4.x.

I Use Gentoo Machine (notebook for tests and development) and Windows 2000 Server is my host provider.

On Gentoo Linux i have:
net-www/apache - 2.0.55-r1
dev-php/mod_php - 4.4.0-r9
dev-db/mysql - 5.0.18-r30

Works Fine

On Windows 2000 Server I have:

MySQL 5.0.19
Internet Information Services 5.0 (W2K SP4)
PHP - Tested with 4.1.x and 5.1.2

On Windows i already set permissions to IUSER_MACHINE. (I can try add NETWORK and NETWORK_SERVICE) just for eliminate possibility.

Others mods can be installed normally, and works fine. Just Image Gallery (which uses GD) haves problems.

MySQL method. I'll try create another DB, but on Windows and Linux are identical (InnoDB).

Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, dass man die Bilder so sortiert, dass die neusten immer oben erscheinen und es jeweils nur 20 (oder ne andere Zahl) pro Seite angezeigt werden?

Ich betreibe eine Seite für einen kleinen Fernsehsender und dort werden oftmals Screenshorts von Moderatoren eingestellt und dort wird es mit der Zeit immer nerviger, wenn neue Screenshots dazukommen und man immer länger zum Laden braucht.

Oder gibt's dafür ein anderes Modul, dass dafür besser geeignet wäre?

Das mit den Images pro Seite hab' ich natürlich erst mal glatt übersehen, sry ...

Man kann die Reihenfolge der Bilder doch auch in der Gallerie selbst festlegen, also wenn man im WebsiteBaker die entsprechende Seite aufruft, und deswegen müsste es doch normalerweise auch eine Möglichkeit geben, dass der neue Bilder nicht unten in die Liste setzt, sondern immer nach oben, oder?

merke gerade, dass ich dir wohl falsche Infromationen geliefert habe. Arbeite gerade an einer anderen Image Gallerey (newimagegallery) und habe den Beitrag hier (new version of gallery) verwechselt.

Also jetzt nochmal zu deinem Problem mit der Sortierung. Bei der Image Gallery die du momentan einsetzt kann man die Bildersortierung in der Administrationsfläche ändern. Alllerdings jedes Bild nur immer Position für Position nach oben oder unten. Neue Bilder werden immer ans Ende der List gehängt. Wenn man viele Bilder hat, ist es sehr mühsam das neueste Bild nach oben zu bringen.

Dein Frage bezieht sich jetzt darauf, ob man den script nicht so verändern kann, dass die neuesten Bilder immer an erster Stelle stehen.

Versuchs mal mit folgendem. Ändere in der modify.php des gallery moduls die Zeile 46 von

Jetzt gibt es nur noch ein kleines Problem: Wenn man ein Bild anklickt und dann die Großansicht des Bildes hat, hat man unten "nächtes ... vorheriges" stehen, das ist leider noch verkehrt rum.

Weißt Du, wie man das drehen kann, eventuell einfach irgendwo die Übersetzung der Begriffe umschalten oder so?

das sollte auch lösbar sein. Versuch mal den language editor von hier:

Einfach installieren und unter den erweiterten Optionen aufrufen. Du kannst damit von allen Modulen, die eine Sprachdatei haben diese bearbeiten. Das Modul ist noch nicht ganz fertig und die deutsche Übersetzung ist katastrophal, dürfte aber für den Zweck für den du es brauchst genügen.
