Hi there,

I run a website which is currently very large in terms of page numbers (currently about 350 pages, making the admin pages display page html about 604Kb in size) and will end up getting even larger as the time goes on, possibly over 5000+ pages. Now, my question is, that like some other CMSs out there, is there a way to stop the admin pages menu from displaying every single page (which renders the admin pages display useless on anything except a localhost development environment) out of the box?

I am talking about something along the lines of actually clicking on parent pages so that the page reloads and then displays the new child pages based on what I just clicked. Is this possible out of the box? The javascript display is great for small numbers of pages is what I use on my other website baker sites without problems, however this site is getting very large very quickly, has it outgrown website baker or does something exist already to help get through this problem?

My website is at http://www.findskiresort.com/.

Hi adowellin,

unfortunatly the answer is no ... due to the fact, that WB was developed for small to medium sized sites.

For this feature you would need to actually rewrite the whole page admin section since I haven't heard of anybody having developed this kind of functionality for WB.

But I think, a couple of people would be interested in this feature. Maybe put a feature request up on the ticket system (see projects - Website Baker 2)
cheers

Will do =) I'm not sure how to go about this myself without breaking something badly, javascript is not something I'm familiar with but it would be nice to be able to choose between, say, client side or server side generation for that particular menu screen.
