Could someone please help me out with this? I have never used the code 2 module before. I have downloaded it. The file is sitting in my FTP.

I am trying to use Google Website optimizer to do some testing on my site. Is there any info on how Exactly to use the “code 2 module”? I know how to use Google website optimizer but I don't know how to begin with the code 2 module. Please keep in mind that I am a Beginner.

I thank you for your help

the code2 module is nearlx like the "normal" code-Module, the difference is: You can set, if you enter php OR HTML OR some other inputs.

For HTML switch to HTML, paste your html-code and save. Thats all.

Hi,

than read the help-pages and/or the manual first.

To find out how to create a page, what is a section how to add a section to a page, what is the difference between wysiwyg an code-section.

Read the basic and the advanced - than You will be experienced enough to create a page.

Than You will have something to optimize for google.
What do You want to optimize if You don´t know how to create something?

vyni,
I have a website with 50 pages of content that I created. Maybe what the problem is, is the fact we are from 2 different cultural back grounds! I just didn't understand what you were saying. I know how to create pages and content. I don't know how to use the code2 module. I have read the help pages and they are Very generic and not helpful with detailed tasks. So I ask again is there anyone that  can that can help.

Have You had a look to it?

This all sounds very strange to me. You wrote: I downloaded it..... You asked me how to add a section......
Now You are telling something abaout 50 pages with content?
Confusing, confusing.

But how ever: You downloaded the module to Your PC. Remember where it is stored. Connect to You WB - Admin and click on Add-ons. In the next screen click on modules. In the first line click the selector and point it to the downloaded code2-module (the zip-package) after You selected it click install.
After a few seconds You should get a succes-message.
Now You can add a section of type code2 to any page You want.
To do it to a new section:
In Admin-Panel go to pages, insert a titel for the new page, in the next line choose type code2 than add.
In the following screen You get the input-field for the code2-section. In standard this is set to php. You will find a select-box in the top-left corner. Here You can choose the type of code You want to insert: php - html -Javascript or internal comment.
So set this to html, insert Your code and click on save.
If You now switch to the frontend You will find a button in the menu with the page You just created. - If Your code brings up a page.
But maybe You want to add this to an existing page:
Open the existing page, You will be fronted with a modify page - screen. In the top-right corner You find a link: manage sections
click on it and You get a list of available section and You can further sections if You want. Now choose type code2 and click on add. To the right of each line (each one represents a section) You will find a trash - onclick You could delete the section, and next to this symbol You find an arrow - there You can sort the order of the sections.
When ready click on modify page to get back the screen for modifying. Now You find 2 or more sections in the page.

Here enter Your code as described above.

I´m wondering how You created 50 pages if You don´t know the basic´s.

PS: Almost every modul or snippet is to install and use that way! This is nothing special.

I am new to website baker. I am not new to the Internet. I transferred my site to a new hosting company. The CMS they provided was website baker. I know how to create pages "sections" as you call them. In your part of the world you may call something by a certain name while where I'm from we might call it something else. That is why I was confused. I thought there was a special "section" you had to create with the code 2 module.

It's just a misunderstanding.
