I have a site that is 95% a public site which requires no login and the majority of users will never have any need to login. However, there is one or two pages that I'd like to make available only to certain users that have been directed to this site. For these users I have a landing page with directions, and I would like to be able to put the login form on this landing page while not having it appear anywhere else on the site.

Is there an easy way to do this?

Just enable the login in the backend.
Create the page and set the visibility to private.

Now the page should not appear in the menu's, but when accessed directly it will ask the user to login first.

Thanks I was looking for that, only i got a little problem with it.
I made a user and usergroup, only if you go to the page and login it says: You don't have permission to view this page.

(It only works on administrator group, it doesn't work with a other group even I checked all boxes)

You need to set the page to "Registered" or "Private" and select the usergroups you want to be able to see the page. (see screenshot)

Registered will show the page in the menu even when a user is not logged on
Private will not show the page in the menu until your user is loggged on
