I thought I had seen a module at some point for this but can't seem to find it in a forum search. Does anyone remember if there was a to do list or task list? I'm just looking for a simple add and mark tasks as done in the backend and show tasks as open/closed in the frontend.

Please have a look at the
All Modules and Snippets Project (AMASP).
It is the best chance tol find what you are looking for.

Thank you. I did pretty thorough searches on the forum and your site but no luck. Maybe I was mistaken and saw it somewhere else or was confusing it with an event calendar.

Did forum search
See : http://www.websitebaker2.org/forum/index.php/topic,2957.0.html there a request is made for a todo or task list
Not a module, he is pointing to http://www.taskfreak.com/ wich looks good to me
Maybe use a wrapper for the output?

Or if you can tinker with php, try making a module for wb?

Have fun.

Thanks for pointing me to my old post. Smiley I guess that's why it sounded familiar - I asked the same question 2 years ago. Smiley

I found a few other interesting possibilities.

http://www.rememberthemilk.com/
http://hiveminder.com/splash/

which offer online free services with an API to allow other apps to tie in to them. Both of these are reasonably popular as I've heard them discussed on some tech shows.

http://creator.zoho.com/

Offers the ability to click and create database apps - and has free options. I might be able to make a simple app with something like this.

I have also been toying with

http://docs.google.com/
https://sites.google.com/

since Google docs allows you to create simple forms tied to xls spreadsheet and both allow embedding gadgets and so on I was testing them to use for simple surveys in a popup window.

and trying to use it for some simple surveys on my site. I am thinking that I could create something this way and embed it in my site. Of course a module would have been nice as I have several features that I use this way - various scripts and behind the scenes trickery- that makes maintenance get harder as you increase the number of these. Smiley

So - simple to do list is on my wb wish list but I'll see if one of these will work. Thanks very much. Smiley

Well, for what it's worth I am trying it as an RSS feed pulled from rememberthemilk.com on this page http://stormvisions.com/pages/workbench/task-list.php I'll move it in a day or so. Not perfect since I can't admin via backend but worth a try.
