but now it doesn´t work, if they are logged in at the same time, only one artikel get´s in, and the rest just are gone, even if they press save?

any idea´? - i´m using the lates wb version 2.7?

Hi,

Do the users work at the same time on the same page? If thats the case, than i am almost sure i can tell you that's not possible. You would need a check-in/check-out option, so that a page has several versions. This is not possible in websitebaker, someone correct if i'm wrong, but i'm almost sure of it.

Hi Babsy,

of course there is a limit of 1 user editing an article at one time.
You open the article - asking the database for content - than You edit something - and now You save - You put the new content to the database.

If someone did the same and saves after You saved it - he will overwrite Your content with his. So everything You changed is lost of course.

So advise Your users to change and edit just their own articles - then this will not appear.

@tessed
I see it equal. But not only WebsiteBaker - the most Databases are limited to be edited by one user only - sometimes You get a message like "file in use -You can open read only"

Hi  Smiley

it´s not the same article they are working on, but it is on the same news page?
they both maybe press "New post" and write 2 different articles, but only 1 get´s in? the other news, just dissapear?

is that right? is there only one allowed in to a news page at the time?

To avoid something like this just advise them to make a new article and save immediately. In that case the database knows about the new article and the second user gets a new unique id.

It is possible, that they get same, because the db holds in this moment only "old" articles aslong they didnot save.

But if they add an article and save it immediatley, the time in which two users could collide is very short and will not happen often.
