This maybe a very strange question.

Re-naming Admin causes a few minor errors, I would like /admin to be hidden some how, Not a password protected directory (HIDDEN), And users & Admins login via front end and redirect to Admin after correct login.

Is this possible in anyway.

You can change the admin path.
You can create a frontend login.
With some tricks you might be able to auto-redirect to the changed admin path.

Then the browser window/page properties will tell what the admin path is and you are back where you started. The admin path will be known to your customer/user/login-er.

In the end you cannot hide the url that deep so it cannot be found.

Thanks for  that, I would be happy just to rename admin but javascript admin will not work.
It enables just does not work.

Should admin be renamed before install or after to make it work correct ?

I never tried renaming the admin path myself.
I assume you have set the correct admin pathurl in your config.php?

Changed config.php javascript admin will not work, So just makes me wonder if renaming what other errors it may cause for the future. Maybe best leaving it alone I suppose, Just that /admin is very common.

The /modules/jsadmin/js/dragdrop.js has some direct references to the /admin/ folder.
This is difficult to build javascript in such way it will use the PHP settings. You would need to modify them manually.

You are right, there could be more side effects on changing the path. There might be code in there that uses hardcoded paths.
Just like normal modules sometimes use hardcoded /pages/, the admin stuff is made by humans also.

Your right about the dragdrop.js think I will leave it alone, A little time consuming going through all that.
I would say it would show more errors weeks, Months down the line, Then just more sorting out finished sites which is what I don't want to happen.

Thanks
