I'm stumped as to how to fix this problem. The site looks fine in FF and Opera. Breaks in IE

This typically happens when the width's including borders, padding and/or margins don't fit in an container div.
IE handles this a boit different than FF e.o.

Try making the middle and/or right div's a bit smaller and see what happens (don't forget to clear the browser cache between tests),

Thanks, Ruud. I've changed the center and right divs a lot. (id content and subcontent) And I cleared cache (CTRL-F5) each time I tested it. Any hacks?

set the table of news to width of 98% should solve this.

After some experimenting the CSS with IE Developer Toolbar:

To your "leftside" add a float: left;
To your "subcontent" add a overflow: hidden;

That seems to fix it.

really stumped. there's got to be a hack somewhere for this. i've tried your suggestions with no change in IE.
