Can anyone please guide me how to add an additional  custom field in the news module?

I want to add a URL field..

Hi,

Here is already something about custom-fields in news module.

Hopefully it helps, hopefully You anderstan it, even it is in german.
This guide is adding some input-fields for page-description and a free text-field, outputted in the sourcre-code between <head>....</head>.

But if You follow and just change a little....maybe it helps.

PS: Falls jemand eine Idee hat was zu tun ist und mir das erklären könnt - geh bitte davon aus dass ich ahnungslos bin, was php und so betrifft. Ich kann grad was lesen, kopieren und einfügen,  ungefähr verfolgen und glauben.
