I am trying to uninstall the module "News".
Nonetheless, I got this message: Cannot Uninstall: the selected file is in use

Please let me know how to do it.
Thank you.

You have to look where you installed the news.
Then delete this section.
After doing so you will be able to deinstall the Module.

Edit: Sorry. It was late as I wrote that.

Hello,

as the news modul is a core file, I'm not shure if it is a good idea to uninstall the whole modul. Maybe you got errors on other places in WB wich are caused from this missing modul. It should be enough only to delete the pages and/or sections where the news is in use.

Thank you for both your replies Matthias and Stefek.
Actually I just want that the block "Lastest New" to disappear on my frontpage.

Hello,

the message "Latest News" must not necessarily be created by the news module. What template are you using? Maybe the text Latest News is implemented in the template as placeholder for news items if there are any. Have a look to the index.php of your template (/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/index.php).
