Hello Friends!

Many of you use the Template Edit, some of you use the Module Edit.
This helpful AdminTools are vey often a pain in the ass (sorry).
If your Template or Module List is long you have to scroll like a devil until you can choose your file and then  to push the "continue" Button  grin

So for a long time I play with the idea to apply the toggle function to it.

And I did it fo the "Template Edtit" and the "Module Edit" modules.

The modules are working well.

NJoy!

Regards,
Stefek

Hello!

I see just a few has downloaded the "togglelized" Modules for Template- and Module-Edit.

So I provide a picture to illustrate what it is about.

I'll be happy if some one could leave a comment for this here.

Yes why not.
It's just a line of CSS.

I'm waiting for further comments and will "upgrade" then.

Hi,

Here the Dutch (NL) language file.

Hello Luc!

We need one for "Template Edit" and one for "Module Edit".
(They are a little bit diffrent.)

Could you please translate both and before uploading name them like TE-NL.php and ME-NL.php, zip and upload?
I will include them afterwards into the modules.

Thanks.

Thanks Bernd.

You know my slogan, right?

Back it as you will!
 wink

I have another Ideas for this one.

One is: How to put in the Informations of templates/modules above the single files.

The informations are stored in admin/addons/templates/ (and admin/addons/modules/ )
while using the dropdown menu. But I don't think that it's really handy.

If anybody has a clue how to put all the information inside this module, please contact me via PM.

Hello,

think we should split this thread and merge the individual modules to the original TemplateEdit and ModuleEdit threads. Then we should replace the existing TemplateEdit and ModuleEdit on the addons repository with this version.

One thing which needs to be fixed before adding the new module on the addons repository is the buggy behaviour if Javascript is disabled in the Browser. Currently playing around with the jQuery framework which may offer a nice solution to this.

Apart from the Javascript disabled bug, a really nice modification of the original modules.

Thank you Christian.
I'm glad to hear that.

Aldus has done the most on the code. I contributed the Ideas and the Styles.

What about the Module "File Edit", which is very similar to them, but you don't need the "toggle" at all.
If someone could help me to implement the new "highlighted" Editor to it,  I would do the rest (Styling, Language Files etc.)

Are you talking about this module here from pcwacht and ruebenwurzel? Think this module needs some more proper testing and checking before it will make it´s way to the addons repository as it allows to change folders etc.

Nope.

Loke here:
I have written a module, which is essentially a hack of the Template Edit module. It allows you to edit online any  php, css, or html  file in your WB installation (rather than just templates which is what Template Edit does).

Hello,

well, the Admin tool posted by pcwacht and ruebenwurzel does allow to edit all files uploaded from the WebsiteBaker backend and much more. Thats why I prefer this module instead another clone of the template- or module edit tool.

Another idea which came in my mind is to merge the module- and template edit module to one single module for WebsiteBaker Templates and Module files. Will have a look into this option this weekend.

Hello Christian,
I had a idea once, to "insert" the modules into the backend, where you go to install the modules and templates.
I thought about a replacement of the "module/template details".

I don't know how doable it is, but doing it this way is less confusing I guess. Because this is the place where I would think of to go in order to install/manage/handle such things.

Below the Toggles you could provide the info about modules/templates and then list up oll the files.

And thus you keep things together.
No permission problems, for if someone is able to install/deinstall modules/templates he also should be able to edit them.

Regards,
Stefek.

//EDIT: of course this is something for the future releases of WB 2.7.x

Hi

is it possible do get the templates (or modules) listed in alphabetical order and the same with the files  inside the chosen directory?

That would help a lot if you have installed many modules/templates.

Thanks in advance
