I recently uploadable 5 templates to see how they looked a site I look after. One of them and I don't know which one corrupted my site and now all I can view is the front page. I have removed all of the templates that I uploaded however the site is still only showing me the front page.  I am running Version 2.6.5
Where would the fault be?
Could it be on my settings page?

Cheers

Hi,
That's an odd one.  I'm going to assume that you installed the themes in the normal way, using zip files through the Addons/Templates interface in admin.

Hard to say for sure, but maybe one of the zip packages was incorrectly put together, such as having wrong path information, so upon being unzipped it barfed and corrupted some files.  If it hit non-template important files, it may be pretty messy.  Otherwise, it may have only messed up the template that you're trying to load now.  Did you try loading any of the other templates?

My first suggestion would be to reinstall either the template you just tried to use, or reinstall one of the default templates, such as Andreas, Simple, All CSS, etc. and try using that one.

Beyond that, maybe you'll need to re-upload your site files, but I think I'll let one of the gurus comment on that; I don't think that would bork anything, but I'm not sure.

Good luck.

I would say, a template cannot corrupt your site. It can happen that a template uses functionality that is not installed on your site.

Templates that use show_menu2 will stop the pagecontent to load if the snippet is not installed.
It can also happen you load a template that uses snippetcode (like Anynews) without the correct testing.

Can you tell a bit more (what templates did you try, what are you using now, what exactly do you see)?
Maybe a link to the site also?
