I am using wb on a shared host with no root access. I would like to be able to edit the index.php and screen.css files in the template directory's respective template via FTP to make changes quicker than uninstalling the template and then reinstalling the template for every little change. I cannot change permissions on any of the template folder directories as it gives me a not allowed type message. Any ideas... I remember it being mentioned that there is a way to do this without having root access.

Hi,
the only solution I know is either the module fileedit for editing in the backend directly in a kind of text-editor or try baseedit to set the filepermission of the directories You need. It´s a kind aof webadmin, just inside WB.

I usually install WB locally and then transfer it to the server via ftp and later all changes to the template is transferred via ftp also. I use my host's phpmyadmin to import my database from backup and of course config.php and all file/folder permissions have to be adjusted afterwards.
