Author Topic: MediaBlog "No input file specified" problem  (Read 1427 times)

Hi
I have MediaBlog installed on 2 separate web sites.  On the first there are no problems (WB 2.6.2) and on the other (WB 2.7) when I select a video to view the following error message is returned in a new page "No input file specified"

I've checked the installations using FTP and they both appear to be identical, both in content and CHMOD properties.

I wonder if anyone has any ideas?  My wild speculation is that there is some fundamental difference between the 2 WB versions that is causing this.  On the other hand it may be some simple tweak in one of the files that I haven't noticed.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks for the link.

Puh - many files ... as for a first look i can't find any big problems so i
assumee maybe a pathname/filename problem within special chars or spaces?

Sorry - only a suggestion.

Hmmm... Thanks for looking.  I'm puzzled that it should work OK on one site and not the other.  It's a good solution when it works which makes it even more frustrating.  At the moment I'm pursuing an alternative method using FileUpload, but it's nowhere near as good.

The problem occurs at www.coremusic.co.uk/index.php.  Select 'Video test' from the LH menu.

Cheers

What on earth throws the error-message? I can't find the string inside websitebaker, even in
the subfolders. Are you using FlashVideos? Maybe the flashPlayer need to update, also
differ PHP Versions ( 4 vs 5) ?

Aldus

Edit:
screen.css, line 123: valign: top is wrong, must be "vertical-align: top"
linke 141 : #navigation1 ul li a:aktiv, --> must be "active"
line 163 : #navigation2 list-style: none;  { --> Typo!
line 173: padding: 0 1em; } /ul --> Typo! remove the /ul
line 202: a:active {color: rgb(255,0,0);
     background-color: transparent;
     font-weight: normal;
     font-style: normal;
     text-decoration: none}
}
Typo : one } to mutch ...

also: "kerry-talks...9.php", Hm .. i would remove the "...", could be a serversite problematic,
even PHP if someone try to strip the filename via explode(".", $file_name) ...

No, these are wmv movies, converted from AVI.  The two sites are both hosted on the same server so versions of PHP shouldn't pose a problem.

The one that works is at http://www.sandhoe.net/pages/photo-galleries/video-blog.php - select the 'Test video' link on the page

Have installed it here localy and played a little bit
around  grin - got many problems in the backend to understand,
as i can't read dutch as well.

But my videos are working well and the path is also correct.
So - again: The error-message dosn't come from WB, and its thrown before
WB is even called - where comes the message from? And ".htaccess" files there?

I think I may try un-installing the module and re-installing it.  I'll let you know the outcome.

http://www.sandhoe.net/pages/media_items/test-video6.php
works

Videos in this page : http://www.coremusic.co.uk/pages/video-test.php doesn't work, all file not found errors
might have to do with the way the link is build
links like : http://www.coremusic.co.uk/pages/media_items/molly-talks...17.php with 3 dots ?

John

PS did a look at save_item.php , that is where the media_items are build from modify_item.php and stored to filesystem and database

Can't explain the triple dot.
Did you name it with two dots?

Brilliant!!!!  Many thanks John - removing the 3 dots from the title has done the trick.

Cheers (and thanks again) - and thanks to Aldus too!
