The first step is to see if the GD library is functioning.

Generate a page, look in the sourcecode of the generated page and find the links to the images (using the reflect.php page).
Copy the full link and paste it in the addressbar of your browser.
i.e.: http://websitebaker.allwww.nl/modules/imageflow/reflect.php?img=%2Fkoeien%2FCow-02.jpg&height=40%&jpeg=90&bgc=FFFFFF&newwidth=150&cache=1

If there is a problem you might see an errormessage that helps further.

Hello,

thanks for this great module!

A question left: when clicking fast next to a picture or more than one time onto another picture when a picture is zoomed the other picture will be opened standalone (tested on Firefox 3) (without CMS, just picture - lilke you would directly call: http://start.websitebaker2.org/templates/websitebaker-new/img/header-logo.png - for example). Is there any way to prevent this?

Addionally I am curious if a border can be applied to the pictures in the carrousel.

Thanks!

this is really bothering me too, as it seems the original imageflow script doesn't have this problem so it has to be possible to solve this

Both the Imageflow and the Highslide javascripts are existing script where I did not make any changes to.

I never had seen the problem you described. I can reproduce it, but you can ask yourself the question if this would happen a lot on "normal use"  wink

It looks like a Highslide "problem" to me. There are many bugfix versions (26 new versions the last 1.5 year) since the version that is now included in the package, so I might try and do some testing with the latest highslide version to see if it fixes the problem.

I will let you know in this thread if it does, and (if it does improve) how to "upgrade".

voorbeeld:

http://websitebaker.allwww.nl/wb/voorbeelden/afbeelding-galerijen/imageflow/voorbeeld.php

when I (double)click on a pic that is not in the centre and then rightaway again on another pic not in the centre, the pic breaks out of the if and is shows as for instance:

I have upgraded to newest version of highslide within the WebsiteBaker package. No dice. The problem still persists.

Thanks, that saves me some time.

The other option is to upgrade the Imageflow module.
(note: the javascript is adapted to work in WB and with LB and HS, just replacing the javascript is not enough)
I don't want to do that because the current version (1.1) is not free anymore. The version used in the module (0.9) was GPL licensed, so you can use that one without problems.

Creating modules that cannot be used without paying license fees to someone else makes no sense to me.
I don't believe the "problem" is that big, on normal use it should work fine.

well, you're right.

But for private use there is no license fee:

---
Non-commercial
Free

If you want to use ImageFlow for your personal website, your family's photo album, a school project or a non-profit organisation you don't need the author's permission. You can simply use ImageFlow for free.

Hi

This is probably answered somwhere on here but its such a long thread i may have missed it. I would like to add the image flow script to my site as i think it is really cool, but for some reason when the page is loaded the images start right at the begining of hte loop i would like them to start say half way through so that when the page is loaded there is a nice arc of images waiting to be scrolled through and not just one inage in the middle. Does that make sense? See my test page http://www.buildmeafabwebsite.co.uk/pages/image-flow-example.php

Also I have a couple of ideas for this feature which would be really cool, how about having some sort of timer that automatically loos through the images say for example it loads a new image every 20 seconds and keeps looping?

Second addition is it possible to have hte script keep looing roind instead of coming to the end of the list of images?Huh

Hope someone can help and my suggestions are good??

Thanks

How to start the carousel on a different position is explained in this thread before: http://www.websitebaker2.org/forum/index.php/topic,10460.msg67063.html#msg67063

About your idea's..
Nice idea's, only you should understand the module is just a tool to use the Imageflow script, developed by someone else (not just for websitebaker).
The script has been improved since the version that is included in the WB module, but that version is not free for all use anymore, so I decided not to update that one in the module. (http://finnrudolph.de/ImageFlow)

Hi,

is there any possibility to make other settings than these entered in the script as default?

Of course I could change quality, color, etc. for every gallery but it would be cool if there is some chance to set defaults for new galleries.

Is there a possibility to do this by editing a file or am I missing something?

Thanks!

The defaults are installed in the database when the module was installed.
When a new page is created these values are not "set" and therefore the default settings are used.

You could manually change the "add.php" script to set extra values when creating a new page, but you will need PHP and MySQL knowledge to make such changes.

To manage large amounts of photographs it would be great if the module would support sub-directories.

Sub-directories should be presented as a navigation-item to select other directories.

I would just create some subpages with the module, and create links using a wysiwyg module to those subpages (and back).

The end-user effect will be the same, it is better to control what is shown.

tks for reply... despite I do not understand nl   huh , what I think i understood and tried out: change the reflection high in backend of imageflow from % to pix ... Î tried it out with 100pix and 200pix ... and thid did the job!  grin ...

but:
- is there something else I shoud know? (and could you please translate it for me?
- should the backend not be changed accordingly?

tks and cheers

Another known issue is that you should not use imagenames with whitespaces in there. It also breaks the image resizing.

The Px vs % problem is still a bit strange. Some servers seem to have no problems with using percentage.
This example page is using 40% for the reflection height, and it works fine.

well, Ruud, thks a lot for your advice; good enough for me to know how I can solve the problem, and that there are cases/servers where this problem does not come up.

No,  this is not possible, as the answer in one of the threads already explained.

BTW, next to double posting the question this user also PM'ed the same question directly to me and got his answer.

Quote
No, the buttons work only when the calling html does what the script needs.
In this case the calling code is generated by the imageflow, and you cannot change that.

Hello everybody!

I have a black border arround the images and can't find the way to remove it.

And the second question is, how can i make the hole box higher as the container or remove the space on top and at the bottom or remove the automatic fitting in the container?

Here the Link to the website: http://www.fritz-bicker.de/wb/gallery/broschueren.php

Thank you in advance!

The border is not in the CSS this time.  shocked
You are using a transparent PNG file, but the thumbs are always generated in Jpeg. The transparent shadow part is shown as a black border. (show)

If you want the shadow, create the full image as jpg with a white background. That should do the trick.

Positioning the imageflow could be done in the imageflow.css using the #images selector like this.
Code:
#images {
  margin-top:-30px;
}
