It is very likely the most commonly used page/section type in your site will be “WYSIWYG” - which stands for 'what-you-see-is-what-you-get'.

WYSIWYG pages are 'normal' pages, which can contain formatted text, lists, tables, and graphical elements such as lines and images. You can also add hyperlinks – links to other pages, sites, or to downloadable files you've placed in your “media” directory.

FCKeditor:
WebsiteBaker's standard WYSIWYG

WebsiteBaker ships with a standard WYSIWYG editor called “FCKeditor”, which enables you to format text, lists and tables, add lines and images, use special characters and create hyperlinks. To explain every single function of this editor would go beyond the scope of this documentation however.

Pausing the cursor over the icons for some seconds will give you the button title and maybe some helpful tip. If you have used a word processing program like Word or OpenOffice Writer before, you will be familiar with many of the functions and icons.

There are a few other editors available for WebsiteBaker, and also you can switch the editor off as well. You can find alternative editors on our Add-On page. You should pay attention however to download a current version of the module. Dated versions often don't match the requirements of new features of the current WebsiteBaker version and also can contain a certain amount of security risks.
You install an editor just like you install any other add-on module – consult Admin -> Add-ons -> Modules for installation instructions. Once installed, you will have to select it as your new default editor, by going to Admin -> Settings -> Show Advanced Options -> General Settings -> WYSIWYG Editor. Here you may choose "None" as well - and on your WYSIWYG pages only a blank text field will appear, where you can enter html or unformatted text.
